Unter der Tankabdeckung einer M1000RR sitzt eine Airbox, die einen Motor versorgt, den BMW gebaut hat, um eine Homologationsvorschrift zu erfüllen, und nicht, um Stückzahlen zu erreichen. Dieses Paneel schließt diesen Kasten. Es ist ein Verkleidungsteil an einem Motorrad, an dem fast jedes andere Verkleidungsteil bereits ab Werk aus Carbon kam.

Dieses Motorrad verlässt Berlin mit Carbonrädern und Carbon-Winglets. Das setzt einen Maßstab, dem der Rest der Maschine genügen muss, und es ist der Grund, warum ein Paneel wie dieses an einer M getauscht wird und nicht an einem gewöhnlichen Superbike: nicht wegen der Gramm, sondern weil eine lackierte Kunststoffabdeckung zwischen zwei Carbonflächen das Teil ist, das alles verrät.
Die Gewebewahl folgt derselben Logik. 245 Twill liest sich auf Distanz und passt zum Muster des meisten Werkscarbons; 200 Plain ist feiner und daneben zurückhaltender.
Passend für
BMW M1000RR, Modelljahre 2023 bis 2026, an den Originalbefestigungen. Fullsix führt denselben Artikel für die S1000RR ab 2019 und für die S1000R ab 2021, die alle diese Airbox teilen.

An einem Motorrad, das Wochenenden auf der Rennstrecke verbringt, ist das die richtige Antwort – es gibt nichts, was absplittern könnte, und die Oberfläche nimmt Kraftstoffspritzer und das Hantieren mit Reifenwärmern hin, ohne es so sauber zu protokollieren wie Glanzlack. An einer Maschine im Showroom ist es die schwierigere Wahl, denn Fingerabdrücke landen darauf und bleiben sichtbar, bis sie abgebürstet werden.
