Nach mehr als einem Jahrzehnt Entwicklungsarbeit im professionellen Motorradrennsport hat Extreme Components den GP EVO Carbon-Bremshebelschutz konstruiert, um den kompromisslosen Sicherheitsanforderungen von Moto3, Moto2 und der Open-Class gerecht zu werden. Mit nur 35 g gehört dieser monolithische Schutz aus Köpergewebe-Carbon zu den leichtesten am Markt — und sein im Windkanal validiertes aerodynamisches Profil trägt aktiv zur Stabilität bei, statt nur auf dem Lenker zu sitzen.

Konstruktion & Technik
Der GP EVO steht für ein grundlegendes Umdenken bei der Konstruktion eines Bremshebelschutzes. Anstatt eine Carbonschale um einen Metallrahmen zu legen, formt Extreme Components den Schutz vollständig aus hochwertigem Köpergewebe-Carbon in einem einzigen, monolithischen Stück. Das Ergebnis ist ein Bauteil ohne schwache Klebeverbindungen oder unterschiedliche Materialien — nur reines, gerichtetes Carbon, das Aufprallbelastungen so aufnimmt wie ein Rennfahrzeug-Chassis.
Der aerodynamische Frontspoiler ist kein Stilelement. Die Geometrie wurde im Windkanal wiederholt getestet und validiert, um die Luft gezielt am Bremshebel vorbeizuführen, ohne die Verwirbelungen zu erzeugen, die die Stabilität bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten beeinträchtigen. Bei Rennspeed auf einer langen Geraden ist der kumulative Effekt messbar.
Sicherheitsdesign im Detail
Extreme Components hat die Sicherheitsarchitektur des GP EVO von beiden Enden eines Sturzszenarios her gedacht. Die Innenseite — die der Hand des Fahrers zugewandte Seite — ist vollständig glatt und kantenfrei. Wird die Hand bei einer Kollision gegen den Schutz gedrückt, gibt es nichts, woran ein Handschuh hängenbleiben oder das Lösen der Hand behindert werden könnte. Die Außenseite, die als erste Fläche mit einem anderen Motorrad, einer Begrenzung oder Streckenmöblierung in Kontakt kommt, ist mit einem teilweise flachen Profil geformt, um Belastung zu verteilen und Verformung zu widerstehen. Zusammen adressieren diese Designentscheidungen die beiden häufigsten Mechanismen, durch die ein Hebelschutz einen Sturz eher verschlimmern als abmildern kann.

Der GP EVO Bremshebelschutz ist ausschließlich für den Rennstreckeneinsatz konzipiert.
