Flügel auf Flügel
Die Serien-R9 trägt bereits funktionale Winglets unter ihren Scheinwerfern — Yamaha nennt sechs bis sieben Prozent weniger Auftrieb vorn auf der Geraden und bis zu zehn Prozent weniger in Schräglage. Mit der Rennmaske entfallen sie, und die Flankenflügel dieses Satzes übernehmen. Das gehört vor der ersten Ausfahrt verstanden: Ein auf die Rennmaske umgebautes Motorrad ohne die Flügel hat aerodynamische Hardware verloren, die der Hersteller bewusst angebaut hatte, und wird über eine schnelle Kuppe vorn leichter wirken als die Serienmaschine.
Der Bugspoiler ist nicht dabei
Die Halter dieses Satzes gehören zur unteren Verkleidung, die untere Verkleidung selbst gehört nicht dazu. Das ist Absicht — ein nach einem Frontschaden aufgebautes Motorrad braucht selten einen neuen Spoiler —, aber es zählt für die technische Abnahme: Die meisten Rundstreckenreglements verlangen eine ölauffangende untere Verkleidung, ein Motorrad allein mit diesem Satz ist also noch nicht startberechtigt. CY20220 wird separat bestellt, oder der Komplettsatz deckt beides ab.
