Die charakteristische vierlagige geölte Baumwollgewebe-Konstruktion folgt derselben Philosophie, die bereits werksseitige Ducati-Rennprogramme geprägt hat, und liefert einen spürbar höheren Luftdurchsatz als das serienmäßige Papierelement, ohne die Filtrationsqualität zu vernachlässigen, die ein italienischer V2 verdient.
Wesentliche Merkmale

Der FM716/20 bündelt dieses Erfahrungswissen in einem direkt passenden Austauschfilter, der sich in derselben Zeit montieren lässt wie ein gewöhnliches Verschleißteil beim Service. Es ist keinerlei Umbau nötig: Der Filter fügt sich mit den Original-Befestigungspunkten in den werkseitigen Luftfilterkasten der Panigale V2 955 ein, und das serienmäßige ECU-Mapping reagiert sofort auf das verbesserte Luftstromsignal.
Das vierlagige geölte Baumwollgewebe steht im Zentrum des BMC-Konzepts. Während ein Papierelement auf Tiefenfiltration setzt, die den Luftstrom mit zunehmender Beladung schrittweise drosselt, hält das BMC-Medium einen deutlich konstanteren Druckunterschied über seine gesamte Einsatzdauer. BMC setzt das Geflecht als strukturelle und chemische Barriere ein, damit der Filter seine Form und seine Filtrationseigenschaften über wiederholte Reinigungszyklen hinweg behält. Die umlaufende Gummidichtung ist exakt auf den Luftfilterkasten der Panigale V2 abgestimmt, sodass keine Gefahr besteht, dass ungefilterte Luft in die Drosselklappen gelangt – ein Risiko, das bei schlecht passenden Nachrüstfiltern besteht.
