Entstanden aus jahrzehntelanger Motorsport-Tradition, bringt der Austausch-Luftfilter FM903/04 von BMC echte, im Rennsport erprobte Filtertechnologie auf die Kawasaki ZX-10 R und ZX-10 RR. Die charakteristische vierlagige Baumwollgewebe-Konstruktion – getränkt mit leicht klebendem Öl und von einem schützenden Aluminiumgeflecht umgeben – entspringt derselben Ingenieurskunst, die BMC zu einem festen Bestandteil der Boxengassen in MotoGP und World Superbike gemacht hat. Für ZX-10-R-Fahrer, die mehr erwarten, als das serienmäßige Papierelement bieten kann, ist dies das ultimative Upgrade.

Rennsport-Erbe, verfeinert für die Straße
BMC – Bmc Bologna Motor Company – wurde bekannt durch die Belieferung von Werksrennteams mit Luftfiltern, wo jeder kleinste Vorteil zählt. Der FM903/04 trägt dieses Erbe direkt in eine straßenzugelassene Form, konzipiert als exakter Austauschfilter für die serienmäßige Airbox der ZX-10 R/RR. Es sind keine Anpassung der Einspritzung, keine Kennfeldänderung und keine Airbox-Modifikation erforderlich: Der Filter ersetzt einfach das Serienelement und lässt den Motor sofort freier atmen.
Die vierlagige Baumwollkonstruktion bildet die Grundlage für den Leistungsvorteil von BMC. Jede Lage ist präzise gewoben und einzeln mit einer niedrigviskosen, leicht klebenden Verbindung geölt, die Partikel abfängt, ohne den Luftstrom zu behindern. Im Vergleich zu einem einlagigen Papierfilter erreicht dadurch bei jeder Drehzahl ein messbar größeres Luftvolumen die Drosselklappen – das Ergebnis sind ein schärferes Ansprechverhalten und eine linearere Leistungsentfaltung, die ZX-10-R-Fahrer sofort spüren.
Für lange Haltbarkeit gebaut
Der Aluminiumgeflecht-Käfig rund um das Baumwollmedium ist mehr als nur ein strukturelles Bauteil. Er widersteht aktiv den Kraftstoffdämpfen und der Feuchtigkeit, die sich im Inneren einer Hochleistungs-Airbox ansammeln, und verhindert so die Oxidation, die minderwertige Filter mit der Zeit schwächt. In Kombination mit dem Gummi-Dichtrahmen – der Vibrationen absorbiert und auch bei anhaltend hoher Drehzahl formstabil bleibt – ist der FM903/04 darauf ausgelegt, mehrere Wartungsintervalle ohne Leistungseinbußen zu überdauern. Lässt die Leistung doch einmal nach, wird der Filter einfach mit dem passenden BMC Reinigungsset gesäubert, neu geölt und wieder eingebaut.
