Die Albek Meridian in Covert Black ist eine Rolltasche mit 165 Litern für Motocross- und Enduro-Fahrer, die Stiefel, Helm, Brille und mehrere Ausrüstungssätze gemeinsam transportieren möchten. Das durchgehende Schwarz wirkt zurückhaltend und nimmt Schlamm und Staub nicht so schnell übel.
Überzeugend ist vor allem die Aufteilung: In vier getrennten Bereichen liegen verschmutzte Stiefel nie neben dem frischen Trikot, und die Brille hat ein eigenes, geschütztes Fach.

Vier Bereiche unter schwarzem Stoff
Ganz unten liegt das Fach für Stiefel und Kniebandagen. Seine Auskleidung ist wasserdicht und lässt sich herausziehen, sodass verkrustete Stiefel den Rest der Covert-Black-Tasche nicht durchnässen. Den Helm verstauen Sie in einem gepolsterten Abschnitt, in den auch Protektoren passen. Im Brillenfach steckt Ihre Brille, daneben gibt es ein separates Fach für Ersatzgläser und Roll-offs. Alles Übrige wandert ins große Hauptfach, das Albek für mehr als einen kompletten Satz Ausrüstung auslegt.

Mit Teleskopgriff und robusten Rollen ziehen Sie die volle Tasche über das Gelände, statt sie zu schultern. Zum Einladen in den Kofferraum greifen Sie zum gepolsterten Albek Cush Tragegriff. Der Boden ist geformt und leicht gehalten; leer wiegt die Meridian 5,22 kg, laut Albek etwa 30 % weniger als vergleichbare Taschen anderer Hersteller.
Stoffe und Verarbeitung
Außen kombiniert Albek mattes 600D-Polyester mit 1680D-Ballistic-Nylon, einem schwereren Gewebe für die Stellen, an denen eine Ausrüstungstasche am stärksten scheuert. Mattes Schwarz kaschiert Schrammen von Rampen und Anhängerböden besser als eine glänzende Oberfläche.
Kleinteile und Belüftung
Elastische Handschuhtaschen fassen mehrere Paare, ein eigenes Werkzeugfach hält Schlüssel vom Stoff fern, und ein separater Bereich nimmt Brustpanzer und Funktionswäsche auf. Belüftete Fächer, bei Albek „Anti Bag-Tang“ genannt, lassen feuchte Kleidung zwischen den Läufen atmen. Eine Stickzone für Namen oder Logos ist vorhanden.
Was Sie wissen sollten
Als wasserdicht beschrieben sind nur die Auskleidung des Stiefelfachs und die Umziehmatte, nicht die Meridian als Ganzes. Sie ist eine Transporttasche für Fahrzeug, Fahrerlager und Reise und nicht dafür gedacht, während der Fahrt auf dem Motorrad mitgeführt zu werden. Bei 5,22 kg Eigengewicht wird eine voll gepackte Tasche schwer; prüfen Sie vor einem Flug die Gepäckgrenzen Ihrer Airline.
Farbe
Covert Black ist die unauffälligste Variante der Serie. Angetrockneter Schlamm, Reifenabrieb und Staub fallen auf Schwarz deutlich weniger auf als auf hellen Farben, ideal also, wenn die Tasche dauerhaft im Transporter oder Anhänger wohnt. Der Nachteil: Zwischen vielen dunklen Koffern am Gepäckband erkennen Sie sie schlechter, ein Anhänger mit Namen hilft.
