Akrapovic hat diesen Dämpfer 2017 auf der EICMA gezeigt, auf derselben Messe, auf der Kawasaki die Ninja H2 SX vorstellte. Er wurde für dieses Motorrad gezeichnet und nicht nachträglich daran angepasst, und die Reliefprägungen auf Carbon-Endkappe und Hitzeschild folgen den Linien der Karosserie.

Mit dem Motorrad entworfen
Die meisten Zubehördämpfer kommen ein bis zwei Jahre nach dem Motorrad, wenn der Zubehörmarkt aufgeholt hat. Dieser wurde zusammen mit der H2 SX gezeigt — deshalb sitzt er bündig am Heck statt darunter zu hängen, und deshalb passt die schwarze Beschichtung zu einer Maschine, die Kawasaki von Anfang an in dunklen Tönen ausgeliefert hat.
Aufgeladen, und was das hier bedeutet
Ein aufgeladener Motor reagiert weniger empfindlich auf Auspuffänderungen als ein Saugmotor, weil der Lader und nicht der Auspuff den Druck bestimmt, den der Motor sieht. Die 2 PS und 2 Nm sind ehrliche Zahlen für diese Tatsache, und sie liegen mitten im Drehzahlband bei 6.600 bis 6.750/min — dort, wo ein schwerer Sporttourer tatsächlich beschleunigt.
Der Grund für dieses Teil ist ein Drittel Auspuffgewicht weniger, hoch am Heck, und der Klang eines aufgeladenen Vierzylinders, den die Serienanlage zurückhält.
Die Koffer bleiben
Die H2 SX ist Kawasakis schneller Tourer, und die meisten tragen die Werkskoffer. Dieser Dämpfer ist um sie herum bemaßt, es muss also nichts dauerhaft abgebaut werden, damit er passt.
Edelstahl unter Titan
Das hier ist kein Volltitan-Dämpfer, und das ist Absicht. Die Struktur besteht aus hochwertigem Edelstahl, das Titan ist die Außenhülle. An einem 260 kg schweren Sporttourer, der bei jedem Wetter mit festgezurrtem Gepäck bewegt wird, übersteht ein Edelstahlkern Streusalz und Vibration besser als eine dünne Titanschale, während die Titanhülle das Gewicht dort herausnimmt, wo die sichtbare Masse sitzt.
Die schwarze Beschichtung darüber leistet dasselbe auf andere Weise. Sie verhindert, dass sich die Oberfläche unter der Hitze eines aufgeladenen Motors verfärbt, und sie verbirgt die Spuren, die ein Reisemotorrad sammelt — deshalb hält ein beschichtetes Finish an einer solchen Maschine länger als ein poliertes.
Passform
S-K10SO21-HRAABL deckt die Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX von Modelljahr 2018 bis 2020 ab. Für die Euro-5-Generation ab 2021 ist S-K10SO30-HGIT das passende Teil; es trägt einen eigenen Katalysator, die beiden sind nicht austauschbar.

EG-Typgenehmigung und ECE-Typgenehmigung, Bescheinigungen liegen bei und stehen hier zum Download. Der Dämpfer ist in der Europäischen Union ein legales Ersatzteil für den Straßenbetrieb.
