Die Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Carbon) S-B10SO16-HZC bringt die S 1000 R am Auspuff von 2,28 kg auf 1,75 kg herunter — 23,2 Prozent — mit einer Carbon-Außenschale über einer Titan-Innenstruktur und einem Verbindungsrohr aus Titan. Es ist die überarbeitete Generation mit neu gezeichneter Endkappe, und sie behält auf der S 1000 R die EG- und ECE-Typgenehmigung.

Aufbau und Materialgüte
Die Gewichtsersparnis stammt hier aus der Kombination, nicht aus einem einzelnen Werkstoff. Die Außenschale ist Carbon, die gesamte innere Struktur, die Gas und Hitze führt, ist Titan, und das Verbindungsrohr zum Serienkrümmer ebenfalls. Stahl kommt im tragenden Weg nirgends vor — deshalb steht am Ende 23,2 Prozent, während eine Carbonschale über einem Stahlkern irgendwo bei zehn landen würde.
Carbon liegt an einem Naked Bike aus jedem Blickwinkel frei, und das Gewebe ist hier so gelegt, dass das Muster sauber über den Dämpferkörper läuft und an der Schelle nicht bricht. Die Endkappe ist für diese Generation neu gezeichnet, kantiger und kürzer, was das Heck der S 1000 R optisch verkürzt.
Leistung und Klang
Die Spitzenleistung bewegt sich kaum — von 166,1 auf 166,2 PS, mit einem gemessenen Zuwachs von 0,5 PS (0,4 kW) bei 11.200/min und 0,5 Nm mehr Drehmoment bei 9.600/min. Das ist die ehrliche Zahl: ein typgenehmigter Slip-On an einem Euro-5-Vierzylinder ist nicht der Ort, an dem große Leistungssprünge entstehen. Was er liefert, ist ein halbes Kilo weniger am Heck und ein wirklich anderer Charakter, gemessen mit 95,2 dB gegen 94,9 dB der Serie bei 5.500/min — drei Zehntel lauter auf dem Messgerät und ein völlig anderer Ton für das Ohr.
Ein optionaler Geräuschdämpfer (V-TUV326) ist erhältlich, falls eine Rennstrecke ein strengeres Limit setzt als die Straße, für die diese Anlage gebaut ist.
Passform
S-B10SO16-HZC passt an die BMW S 1000 R und die M 1000 R ab Modelljahr 2021. Bei Maschinen des Modelljahrs 2025 mit Einzelsitzbank wird der serienmäßige Sozius-Rastenhalter für die Montage des Dämpfers gebraucht — beim Umbau also nicht wegwerfen. Der Einbau eines der optionalen Krümmer hebt die EG- und ECE-Typgenehmigung dieser Anlage auf.
Zulassung
Die Anlage trägt eine EG-Typgenehmigung und eine ECE-Typgenehmigung. Akrapovic weist ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass die Typgenehmigung für die M 1000 R nicht gilt: der Auspuff passt mechanisch und wird für diese Maschine angeboten, ist an einer M 1000 R aber kein typgenehmigter Ersatzschalldämpfer. Besitzer der M sollten ihn als Rennstreckenteil behandeln oder die Lage vor dem Straßenbetrieb mit der Zulassungsstelle klären.
