Zuwachs an beiden Enden des Bandes
Die meisten Krümmer finden ihre Leistung oben und geben unten etwas ab. Dieser legt 6,5 Nm bei 2.900/min und 10,8 PS bei 8.600 drauf — Akrapovic gibt an, dass der Zuwachs über das gesamte Drehzahlband läuft, und die beiden Messpunkte bestätigen das.
An einer Z900RS zählt das. Sie wird eher bei moderaten Drehzahlen auf Landstraßen gefahren als ausgedreht, und ein Krümmer, der erst oberhalb von achttausend arbeitet, wäre für sie das falsche Teil.
Wo sich 6,4 Kilogramm versteckt haben
Kawasaki verbirgt die Abgasführung der Z900RS gut: Der sichtbare Dämpfer ist kompakt, der Rest verschwindet unter dem Motor. Darunter liegen 9,6 kg doppelwandiger Stahl mit einem großen Katalysator, ausgelegt auf europäische Geräusch- und Abgasgrenzen an einem 948-cm³-Vierzylinder.
Zwei Drittel davon zu entfernen verändert neben der Gesamtmasse auch den Schwerpunkt des Motorrads, denn alles davon sitzt tief und mittig.
Der Hauptständer bleibt
Kawasakis Hauptständer ist an der Z900RS ein häufiges Zubehör, und Krümmer stehen ihm regelmäßig im Weg. Dieser nicht — Akrapovic gibt die Anlage als verträglich an, die Kettenpflege bleibt also so einfach wie zuvor.
Was Sie zusätzlich brauchen
Dieser Krümmer ist keine vollständige Abgasanlage. Er macht aus einer Akrapovic Slip-On Line eine Komplettanlage — für die Z900RS ist das S-K9SO5-HBAVTBL für die Maschinen von 2018 bis 2025. Akrapovic weist außerdem darauf hin, dass für beste Leistung, Gasannahme und Haltbarkeit ein spezielles Mapping nötig ist.
Nicht dasselbe Teil wie an der Z900
Z900RS und Z900 teilen sich einen 948-cm³-Motor, aber keine Abgasanlage. Kawasaki führt sie an der RS anders, passend zur Retro-Verkleidung und zur Zweistoßdämpfer-Optik — der Krümmer der einen passt also nicht an die andere.
