Ein von Hand laminiertes Carbonteil eines slowenischen Auspuffherstellers für ein chinesisches Reiseenduro. Diese Verbindung war vor zehn Jahren undenkbar, und sie sagt mehr darüber, wie weit CFMOTO gekommen ist, als jedes Datenblatt.

Auf das X kommt es an
CFMOTO verkauft die 800MT und die 800MT-X, und Akrapovic fertigt für jede ein eigenes Schild. Die beiden Artikelnummern unterscheiden sich um ein einziges Zeichen, und die Motorräder unterscheiden sich in der Verkleidung rund um die Anlage.

Es gehört zu einem Dämpfer
Akrapovic hat dieses Schild um die Slip-On Line S-CF8SO4-HFTT der 800MT herum konstruiert. An der CFMOTO-Serienanlage ist die Aufnahmegeometrie eine andere, und das optische Argument für ein abgestimmtes Carbonteil verschwindet mit ihr.
Mehr als das Bein des Fahrers
Der Hersteller führt die Ausrüstung neben dem Fahrer auf, und an einer Reisemaschine ist genau diese Formulierung das Lesenswerte. Eine 800MT ist zum Beladen da, und Beladen bringt Gurtband auf wenige Zentimeter an Metall, das mehrere hundert Grad heiß wird.
Gurte verlieren diesen Wettstreit, meist weit von zu Hause. Eine Barriere dort zu setzen, wo die Last natürlicherweise liegt, ist Ingenieursarbeit mit kosmetischer Nebenwirkung — und nicht umgekehrt.
Direkter Tausch
Akrapovic nennt es Plug and Play, und das trifft zu: Werksplatte lösen, diese an denselben Punkten aufsetzen, anziehen. Kein Beischnitt, kein Bohren, keine Beilagen — ein Steckschlüsselsatz deckt die ganze Arbeit ab.
Warum CFMOTO-Besitzer Carbon kaufen
Die 800MT unterbietet europäische Reiseenduros deutlich, und viele Besitzer stecken einen Teil dieses Unterschieds in die Maschine, statt ihn einzustecken. Eine Akrapovic-Anlage mit passendem Carbonschild ist eine der sichtbarsten Arten, das zu tun.
Die Teile haben dieselbe Güte, die Akrapovic für eine BMW oder eine Ducati liefert. Nur das Motorrad darunter kostet weniger.
Von Hand gelegt, nicht gepresst
Die Form legt sich um Dämpfer und Aufnahmen — mehr, als ein Presswerkzeug aus Blech formen kann, ohne das Gewebe zu falten. Akrapovic legt das Carbon von Hand in eine Form, härtet es unter Wärme aus und beschneidet die Kante danach: drei Arbeitsgänge, an jedem hängt ein Mensch.
Daher kommt der Preis eines so kleinen Teils, und darin liegt der ganze Unterschied zu der gestanzten Platte, die es ersetzt.
Kein veröffentlichtes Gewicht
Akrapovic nennt zu diesem Schild keine Zahl, und hier wird keine geschätzt. Ein Teil dieser Größe bewegt sich um höchstens ein paar hundert Gramm, und niemand sollte eines in Erwartung eines Gewichtsvorteils kaufen.
Drei Modelljahre
CFMOTO baut die aktuelle 800MT seit 2024 ohne Änderung an der Auspuffaufnahme, ein Schild deckt also die bisherige Bauzeit ab.
Zulassung
Nicht einschlägig. Ein Hitzeschild ist weder ein Abgas- noch ein Geräuschbauteil, und was das Motorrad darf, entscheidet der Dämpfer dahinter.
