Das ist die einzige CRF250R-Anlage im Katalog, die sowohl ein Gewicht als auch einen gemessenen Geräuschwert nennt — und der Geräuschwert ist der interessante: 93,8 dB gegen 93,4 der Serienanlage, abgelesen bei 5.000/min. Vier Zehntel Dezibel sind nichts. Eine vollständige Titan-Rennanlage, die kaum lauter ist als Hondas eigene, erwarten die wenigsten.

Titan bis zum Kopf
Akrapovic baut für diese Maschine zwei Komplettanlagen. Die Racing Line verwendet Krümmerrohre aus Stahl mit einer Dämpferhülle aus Titan. Diese hier ist durchgehend aus Titan, und dieser eine Unterschied trennt die beiden im Katalog, im Preis und auf der Waage.
Stahlkrümmer sind kein Zugeständnis bei der Festigkeit — sie sind eines beim Gewicht, und zwar oben am Rahmen, wo ein Crosser es am wenigsten brauchen kann. Titanrohr zu formen und zu schweißen kostet ein Vielfaches, und das ist der ehrliche Grund, warum es die Racing Line neben dieser Anlage überhaupt gibt.
Neunhundert Gramm
Zwanzig Prozent vom Auspuff eines Motorrads, das trocken rund 105 kg wiegt. Neben dem, was spätere Generationen erreicht haben, ist das keine Schlagzeile, und man sollte auch keine daraus machen: Die CRF250R von 2016 kam schlicht mit einer leichteren Serienanlage als die Maschinen danach.
Wichtiger ist, wo die Masse sitzt. Der Krümmer legt sich oben um den Motor, und Gewicht von dort zu nehmen senkt den Punkt, um den sich das Motorrad in der Luft dreht.
Der Einsatz liegt bei
Akrapovic verzeichnet für diese Anlage einen herausnehmbaren dB-Einsatz. Clubveranstaltungen mit Standgeräuschmessung, Trainingsgelände mit einem Grenzwert im Pachtvertrag, eine Abendrunde in Ortsnähe — der Einsatz kommt hinein, der Wert sinkt, und fürs Rennen kommt er wieder heraus.
Nicht jede Anlage dieser Reihe hat einen. Wo er fehlt, gibt es überhaupt keine Einstellmöglichkeit.
Beide Zuwächse an derselben Stelle
Die Leistung steigt um eineinhalb PS, das Drehmoment um ein Newtonmeter, und Akrapovic verzeichnet beide Zuwächse bei 11.600/min — weit oben, dicht an der Leistungsspitze und typisch für einen 250er-Viertakter, der sein Arbeitsleben am Anschlag verbringt.
Lesen Sie das nicht als Anlage ohne Substanz darunter. Es bedeutet nur, dass die gemessenen Maxima zufällig an derselben Stelle liegen; gefahren wird die Kurve dazwischen.
Achtzig Minuten auf dem Bock
Länger als die Stunde, die Akrapovic für seine späteren CRF250R-Anlagen angibt, und das sollte man vor einem Rennwochenende wissen. Die Maschine von 2016 führt ihren Krümmer um einen anderen Rahmen, und der Auspuff muss zum Filterwechsel öfter herunter, als es bei einem Straßenmotorrad je nötig wäre.
Drei Anlagen für zwei Modelljahre
Akrapovic deckt die CRF250R von 2016 und 2017 gleich dreifach ab. Die Slip-On Line S-H2SO5-QTA tauscht nur den Dämpfer. Die Racing Line S-H2MR9-QTA bringt Stahlkrümmer dazu. Diese hier ist die vollständige Titananlage, und sie ist die teuerste der drei wegen dessen, woraus sie besteht, nicht wegen dessen, was sie anders macht.
Eine ältere Generation
Honda ersetzte diesen Motor 2018 durch die Maschine mit zwei Dämpfern, 2022 dann noch einmal. Eine CRF250R von 2016 ist heute ein Gebrauchtmotorrad, und so viel Geld für einen Auspuff daran auszugeben, ist eine Entscheidung übers Rennfahren und nicht über den Wiederverkauf.
