Eine Stunde und drei Viertel. So lange veranschlagt Akrapovic die Montage dieser Anlage, und das ist die längste aller CRF250R-Auspuffanlagen im Katalog — volle 45 Minuten mehr als bei den Maschinen danach. An einem Motorrad, das nach jeder Veranstaltung wieder auf den Bock kommt, sollte man das wissen, bevor der Karton auf ist.

Die Beschichtung ist hier neu
Akrapovic vermerkt für diese Anlage, dass die Dämpferhülle eine neue Beschichtung für bessere Kratzfestigkeit und leichtere Reinigung trägt. Das ist eine Motocross-Antwort auf ein Motocross-Problem: Ein Titantopf verbringt sein Leben im Steinschlag, und blankes Titan zeichnet.
Unverwundbar wird er dadurch nicht. Es ist der Unterschied zwischen Hochdruckreiniger und Drahtbürste am Ende einer nassen Veranstaltung, und über eine Saison ist das der Unterschied, der zählt.
Sechshundert Gramm, und nichts aufgeblasen
Von 4,2 kg serienmäßig auf 3,6. Vierzehn Prozent, und das ist die kleinste Ersparnis aller Evolution Lines, die Honda für dieses Motorrad gebraucht hat. Das ist kein Vorwurf an die Anlage — es ist eine Tatsache über die Maschine von 2014, die das Werk schon mit einem vergleichsweise leichten Auspuff verließ.
Die spätere CRF250R mit zwei Dämpfern trug 5,4 kg Serienauspuff; dort konnte die Evolution Line ein Drittel wegnehmen. Hier war schlicht weniger zu holen, und eine größere Zahl zu nennen hieße, die falsche zu nennen.
Zwei verschiedene Drehzahlen
Die Spitzenleistung wird bei 11.050/min abgelesen, der Drehmomentzuwachs bei 7.900. Das liegt weit auseinander, und genau diese Spreizung ist der nützliche Teil: Die Anlage tut auch für die Mitte des Drehzahlbands etwas, statt nur zu schärfen, was ohnehin schon da war.
1,1 Nm bei knapp achttausend Umdrehungen sind an einem 250er-Viertakter Zug aus der Spurrille heraus und keine Prüfstandsschlagzeile.
Ein Einsatz liegt bei
Akrapovic verzeichnet für diese Anlage einen herausnehmbaren dB-Einsatz und gibt an, dass sie die FIM-Geräuschgrenzen einhält. Zusammen decken diese beiden Angaben das meiste ab, was eine Club- oder nationale Veranstaltung bei der Abnahme vom Motorrad verlangt.
Ein geschweißter Halter
Akrapovic gibt einen haltbareren geschweißten statt eines geschraubten Halters an. An einem Straßenmotorrad wäre das eine Fußnote. An einer Crossmaschine gehört die Dämpferaufnahme zu den Teilen, die tatsächlich versagen, und eine Schweißnaht hat nichts, was sich lösen könnte.
Die älteste CRF250R der Reihe
Akrapovic führt für dieses Motorrad noch Anlagen für vier Generationen, und 2014 ist die früheste. Eine CRF250R dieses Alters ist ein Clubmotorrad, ein Trainingsmotorrad oder ein Projekt, und der Fall für einen Titanauspuff daran handelt davon, wie sie läuft, und nicht davon, was sie wert ist.
