Die GSX-8S ist ein junges Motorrad, und das hier ist eines von sehr wenigen Akrapovic-Zubehörteilen dafür. Das hat eine Folge, die gesagt gehört: Die Racing Line, für die der Halter genannt ist, S-S8R1-EEC, steht nicht in der Preisliste, aus der dieser Shop bezieht — sie führt für dieselbe Maschine eine andere Racing Line.

Vor der Bestellung klären
Akrapovic schreibt seine Zubehörbeschreibungen gegen den gesamten Katalog, und Artikelnummern wandern weiter. Der Halter passt möglicherweise gut zur aktuellen Racing Line dieses Motorrads; annehmen sollte das niemand, ohne zu fragen.
Eine einzige Rückfrage beim Vertrieb, mit der Nummer des Dämpfers und der dieses Halters, klärt es. Das sind fünf besser genutzte Minuten als eine Rücksendung.
Das Problem, das er löst
Suzuki hängt den Dämpfer der GSX-8S an die Aufnahme der Soziusrasten, so wie es die meisten Hersteller tun. Baut man die Rasten für den Streckeneinsatz ab — wie Clubreglements es verlangen —, verliert der Auspuff seine hintere Abstützung.
Dieser Halter ersetzt sie durch ein Teil, das nur den Dämpfer trägt. Es ist dasselbe Problem, das Akrapovic an R7, ZX-10R und mehreren anderen löst, und dieselbe Antwort.
Eine neue Mittelklasse
Suzuki brachte die GSX-8S 2022 um einen neuen 776-cm³-Parallel-Twin heraus, und sie ist eine verbreitete Wahl für Fahrer geworden, die ein Naked Bike ohne Literklassen-Unterhalt wollen. Der Zubehörmarkt wächst noch nach, und deshalb ist die Liste kurz.
Aluminium
Gefrästes Aluminium statt Carbon. An einem Halter, der nach einem Sturz begutachtet und womöglich mehrfach ersetzt wird, ist Metall der praktische Werkstoff — es verformt sich sichtbar, statt unsichtbar zu versagen, und ein Ersatzteil zu bevorraten kostet weniger.
Kein veröffentlichtes Gewicht
Akrapovic nennt zu diesem Halter keine Zahl, und hier wird keine geschätzt. Zum Vergleich gibt das Haus für das entsprechende R7-Teil 140 Gramm gegen eine 670-Gramm-Serienaufnahme an — ein anderes Motorrad, hier nur als Größenordnung genannt.
Optional, nicht serienmäßig
Eine GSX-8S mit montierten Soziusrasten braucht diesen Halter nicht. Die Anlage sitzt an der Werksaufnahme. Das ist ein Teil für eine bestimmte Ausführung, und nur dann sollte man es kaufen.
Zulassung
Nicht einschlägig. Ein Befestigungshalter trägt keine Abgas- oder Geräuschgenehmigung, und die Racing Line, der er dient, ist eine Streckenanlage.
