Die Scrambler Icon war ab 2015 der Ausgangspunkt von Ducatis moderner Scrambler-Reihe, und ihr tropfenförmiger Tank mit austauschbaren Seitendeckeln wurde zum Markenzeichen der Familie. Besitzer tauschen diese Deckel, um das Erscheinungsbild zu ändern, und viele denken an der Icon mehr über Farbe nach als an den meisten Motorrädern. Ein farbiger Stift am Tankdeckel fügt sich selbstverständlich in dieses Spiel ein. Für die Scrambler Icon von 2015 bis 2022, einschließlich der Icon Dark von 2020 bis 2022, ist der Accossato-Deckel der FC105, CNC-gefräst aus Aluminium, mit einer schnell schließenden Klinke, deren Stift in sechs Farben kommt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der FC105 verlässt die CNC-Maschinen von Accossato als Deckel, der vollständig aus Aluminium besteht und den das Unternehmen als widerstandsfähig und langlebig beschreibt; die Gestaltung ist eine eigene und neu. Den Tank der Scrambler Icon zu öffnen und zu schließen ist dank der schnell schließenden Klinke eine schnelle Sache. Nur den Stift gibt es in Farben, sechs davon, womit die Wahl des Akzents bei Ihnen liegt; der übrige Deckel wird nicht als farbig beschrieben. Eine beschädigte Klinke lässt sich einzeln ersetzen, denn Accossato verkauft sie separat.
Seitendeckel, Lack und ein Stift
An der Scrambler Icon trägt der Tank den größten Teil der Farbe, und die Seitendeckel entscheiden vieles davon. Die Wahl einer Stiftfarbe fällt leichter, wenn Sie das ganze Motorrad ansehen statt nur den Tankdeckel. Eine gelbe Icon verträgt einen schwarzen oder silbernen Stift; eine rote kann einen roten Stift für einen abgestimmten Auftritt bekommen oder einen silbernen für Kontrast. Die Icon Dark mit ihrem matten Schwarz gibt dem Stift mehr Aufmerksamkeit als jeder andere Lack, entscheiden Sie also, ob Sie einen Akzent wollen oder ob der Deckel verschwinden soll. Wechseln Sie die Seitendeckel hin und wieder, funktioniert ein neutraler Stift mit jeder Kombination. Sehen Sie sich das Motorrad vor der Entscheidung von oben an, bei Tageslicht, oder ein Foto aus dieser Perspektive, denn das ist der Blickwinkel, aus dem Sie und alle im Fahrerlager den Deckel sehen. Und denken Sie daran, dass der Deckel zu Rennstreckentagen gehört: Der Auftritt, den er schafft, ist einer für die Strecke, nicht für die Fahrt dorthin.

Straßenzulassung
Der FC105 kommt ohne deutsche ABE und ohne dokumentiertes Teilegutachten, wir bieten ihn deshalb für die Rennstrecke an. Der Originaldeckel der Icon lässt sich normalerweise mit dem Zündschlüssel öffnen; für Fahrten auf der Straße kommt er zurück, da dieser Deckel auf öffentlichen Straßen kein direkter Ersatz ist.
