Unter dem Namen Scrambler 800 versammelt die Anwendungsliste von Accossato zwei Motorräder, die kaum unterschiedlicher aussehen könnten: den Café Racer mit Stummellenkern und Spiegeln an den Lenkerenden und den Desert Sled mit langhubigem Fahrwerk und einem für Gelände vorbereiteten Fahrgestell. Beide sind um den luftgekühlten Zweizylinder herum gebaut, und beide können abseits öffentlicher Straßen landen, das eine auf einer Rennstrecke, das andere auf einem geschlossenen Geländekurs. Accossatos Liste gibt beiden über die Jahre 2017 bis 2022 dasselbe Teil, den FC105: einen Tankdeckel mit Schnellverschluss, vollständig aus Aluminium gefräst, dessen Klinkenstift in sechs Farben kommt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato, zu dessen Geschichte ein Enduro-Weltmeistertitel von 1985 gehört, fräst den FC105 vollständig aus Aluminium auf CNC-Maschinen und beschreibt ihn als robust und langlebig. Das Design ist neu. Seine schnell schließende Klinke öffnet und schließt den Einfüllstutzen schnell, ob die Scrambler 800 nun im Fahrerlager steht oder am Rand eines Schotterübungsplatzes. Den Stift an der Klinke gibt es in sechs Farben, und eine beschädigte Klinke lässt sich einzeln ersetzen.
Café Racer und Desert Sled
Ein Café Racer auf einer Rennstrecke und ein Desert Sled auf einem geschlossenen Geländekurs nutzen denselben Deckel in sehr unterschiedlicher Umgebung. Auf Asphalt ist die Aufgabe vertraut: das Motorrad aufrecht auf einem Montageständer, Motor aus, Kraftstoff durch einen Trichter, Klinke zu und geprüft. Im Gelände gibt es selten eine ebene Fläche oder einen Ständer. Suchen Sie festen Boden, stellen Sie den Desert Sled auf den Seitenständer, mit dem Tank so waagerecht, wie es der Untergrund zulässt, oder lassen Sie ihn von jemandem aufrecht halten, und tanken Sie mit dem Rücken zum Wind, damit kein Staub in den offenen Einfüllstutzen weht. Wischen Sie den Bereich um den Deckel ab, bevor Sie ihn öffnen, denn Sand am Rand landet unter der Dichtung. Hören Sie bei beiden Motorrädern vor dem ganz oberen Rand auf: Ein randvoller Tank an einem Motorrad, das auf dem Seitenständer lehnt oder über Spurrillen springt, lässt dem Kraftstoff keinen Platz. Der Deckel ist derselbe; der Boden darunter entscheidet, wie vorsichtig Sie sein müssen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Die Liste von Accossato stellt für den FC105 zwei Versionen unter den Namen Scrambler 800: den Café Racer von 2017 bis 2020 und den Desert Sled von 2017 bis 2022. Bei Inter-Pace ist derselbe Deckel außerdem für die Scrambler 1100 und die DesertX gelistet. Ihr eigenes Motorrad sollte auf dieser Liste stehen, bevor Sie bestellen. Tauschen Sie die Deckel bei kaltem Motor und sicher stehender Scrambler, gleich welche der beiden Versionen es ist.
Straßenzulassung
Der FC105 hat keine deutsche ABE und kein dokumentiertes Teilegutachten, wir verkaufen ihn deshalb für den Einsatz abseits öffentlicher Straßen, auf Rennstrecken und geschlossenen Kursen. Der Originaldeckel der Scrambler lässt sich üblicherweise mit dem Zündschlüssel abschließen, und er ist der Deckel, mit dem auf der Straße gefahren wird; der Accossato-Deckel ist dort kein selbstverständlicher Ersatz.
