Die Ducati Monster 796 gehört zur luftgekühlten Linie der Monster: leicht, schmal und einfach zu fahren, weshalb so viele Besitzer mit ihr zu ihrem ersten Trackday fahren. Accossato führt den FC104 für die Monster 796 von 2010 bis 2015. Es ist ein Deckel mit Schnellverschluss, vollständig auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium hergestellt, verschlossen von einer Klinke mit einem Stift in Blau, Grün, Schwarz, Rot, Silber oder Gold. Als Rennstreckenteil passt er zum Anlass, denn ein erster Tag auf dem Rundkurs ist der Moment, in dem viele Fahrer beginnen, ihr Motorrad mit anderen Augen zu sehen.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der FC104 ist ein unkompliziertes Teil, was zu einem unkomplizierten Motorrad passt. Accossato fräst ihn vollständig aus Aluminium und beschreibt ihn als robust und langlebig. Eine schnell schließende Klinke erlaubt zügiges Öffnen und Schließen, der Stift an dieser Klinke lässt sich in sechs Farben bestellen, und die Klinke kann einzeln ersetzt werden, wenn sie beschädigt ist. Die Gestaltung ist neu, in Accossatos eigenen Worten ansprechend, und auf dem Tank einer luftgekühlten Monster setzt ein gefräster Deckel einen sauberen Kontrast.
Ein erster Trackday auf einer luftgekühlten Monster
Eine Monster 796 für ihren ersten Trackday vorzubereiten ist größtenteils einfach. Scheinwerfer und Blinker abkleben, die Spiegel abnehmen oder einklappen, Reifen und Bremsbeläge prüfen und sicherstellen, dass nichts undicht ist. Der Tankdeckel gehört ebenfalls auf diese Liste. Reist das Motorrad im Transporter zur Strecke, können Sie den Accossato-Deckel am Abend zuvor zu Hause bei kaltem Motor montieren und am nächsten Morgen prüfen, ob der Einfüllbereich trocken ist. Fahren Sie hin, tauschen Sie die Deckel im Fahrerlager, sobald der Motor abgekühlt ist. Kommen Sie mit einer vernünftigen Menge Kraftstoff an statt mit randvollem Tank und bringen Sie einen Kanister für die Mittagszeit mit. Hören Sie bei der Einweisung zu, fahren Sie den ersten Turn deutlich innerhalb Ihrer Grenzen und nutzen Sie die Pausen zum Trinken und für einen Blick über das Motorrad. Lassen Sie es am Ende des Tages abkühlen, bevor der Originaldeckel zurückkommt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Anwendungsliste nennt die Monster 796 von 2010 bis 2015 für den FC104. Derselbe Deckel ist bei uns für weitere Monster gelistet, darunter die 821 und die 1200, sowie für die SuperSport 950. Bitte prüfen Sie Ihr Motorrad vor der Bestellung in der Liste.
Straßenzulassung
Für den FC104 sind weder eine deutsche ABE noch ein Gutachten verzeichnet, sein Einsatz liegt also auf der Rennstrecke. Straßenmotorräder verlassen das Werk üblicherweise mit einem verriegelbaren Deckel, und die Monster 796 sollte für öffentliche Straßen ihren originalen tragen.
