Die Honda CB600F Hornet ist seit langem ein Motorrad, an dem Neu- und Wiedereinsteiger das Fahren einer größeren Maschine lernen, mit einem Vierzylinder-Reihenmotor, der auch bei niedrigem Tempo gutmütig bleibt, und einer Naked-Optik, die Verkleidungsteile und Kühlerverkleidungen ohne schützende Verkleidung lässt. Diese offenliegende Karosserie ist einem langsamen Umfaller auf dem Parkplatz oder einem missglückten Manöver auf rutschigem Untergrund schutzlos ausgesetzt. Für die CB600F Hornet von 2007 bis 2015 geben Accossatos Sturzpads dem Motorrad etwas, das zuerst aufsetzt, mit einem eloxierten Einsatz in verschiedenen Farben und einer optionalen passenden Schraubenabdeckung.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Jedes Pad beginnt als Aluminiumblock, bevor Accossato es auf CNC-Maschinen in Form bringt, und der farbige Kern ist eloxiert statt lackiert, sodass die Farbe durch das Metall geht, statt nur als Beschichtung darauf zu liegen. Für diesen Einsatz stehen sechs Farbtöne zur Wahl: Blau, Grün, Schwarz, Rot, Silber oder Gold, und wer die Schraubenköpfe in derselben Farbe verschwinden lassen möchte, kann eine passende Abdeckung mitbestellen. Zwei Pads bilden das Set, je eines pro Seite, und zusammen geben sie der nackten Karosserie der Hornet, oder jedem Verkleidungsteil in der Nähe, den ersten Berührungspunkt, wenn das Motorrad umfällt.
Ein Motorrad, an dem gelernt wird, nicht nur gefahren
Viele Hornet-Besitzer sammeln noch Fahrpraxis, statt Rundenzeiten zu jagen, und diese Phase des Fahrens bringt ihre eigenen Risiken mit: ein zu eng angesetzter U-Turn im Schritttempo, ein Fuß, der im Stand von einem nassen Bordstein abrutscht, ein langsamer Umfaller beim Parken am Hang. Bei keinem davon ist wirkliches Tempo im Spiel, trotzdem berühren die nackten Rahmenrohre der Hornet und die Kanten der Tankverkleidung als Erste den Asphalt. Ein Satz Sturzpads, genau für solche Zwischenfälle gedacht, erlaubt es einem lernenden Fahrer, einen Umfaller als Routine statt als Krise zu behandeln, denn das Pad trifft als Erstes auf den Boden, nicht die eigene Karosserie der Hornet.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato nennt in der Anwendungsliste dieses Teils die CB600F Hornet von 2007 bis 2015, und unsere Listung entspricht genau diesem Zeitraum. Bei manchen Hornet-Varianten muss die Verkleidung oder das Verkleidungsteil gebohrt werden, damit die Pads richtig sitzen, und die Anwendungsliste gibt nicht an, bei welchen, fragen Sie uns also vor der Bestellung, statt es mit der Bohrmaschine in der Hand herauszufinden. Dasselbe Motorrad nimmt auch Accossatos vordere Achsprotektoren PF013 auf, die manche Besitzer zusätzlich zu diesen Pads montieren, für einen vollständigeren Schutz an beiden Enden der Hornet.
Straßenzulassung
Für diese Pads dokumentiert Accossato keine deutsche ABE oder eine vergleichbare Zulassung, deshalb bieten wir sie für Renn- und Wettbewerbseinsatz an der Hornet an, nicht für den alltäglichen Straßenbetrieb.
