Besitzer einer Monster 797 halten ihr Motorrad meist sauber. Der offene Gitterrohrrahmen, der luftgekühlte Motor mit seinen Kühlrippen und der runde Scheinwerfer kommen erst richtig zur Geltung, wenn alles glänzt, und der Sonntagvormittag mit dem Eimer gehört zum Ritual. Er bringt auch ein kleines Risiko mit sich. Seifiges Wasser, ein glatter Garagenboden oder eine abfallende Einfahrt, dazu jemand, der auf der falschen Seite kräftig schrubbt: So landet ein frisch gewaschenes Motorrad auf der Seite. Accossato listet die Sturzpads TP090 für die Monster 797 der Jahre 2017 und 2018.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato schneidet den TP090 aus Aluminium auf CNC-Maschinen und eloxiert den Einsatz in Silber, Gold, Blau, Grün, Rot oder Schwarz. Die Schraubenabdeckung kommt in der Farbe des Einsatzes und lässt sich mitbestellen, oder die Befestigung bleibt offen sichtbar. Jede Packung enthält zwei Pads. An einem so offen gebauten Motorrad wie der Monster 797 sollen sie der erste Teil sein, der beim Umfallen den Boden berührt, was den Schaden am Rahmen und den nahen Bauteilen mindern kann. Ein Pad, das einen harten Treffer abbekommen hat, wird ausgetauscht statt gerade gebogen.
Waschen auf dem Seitenständer
Ein Seitenständer war nie für das Schieben und Ziehen einer gründlichen Reinigung gedacht. Motorräder, die beim Waschen fallen, kippen oft weg vom Ständer, wenn jemand links kräftig schrubbt und das Motorrad dabei aufrichtet, oder sie rutschen, weil der Standfuß auf einem Seifenfilm steht. Ein Montageständer bietet eine stabilere Basis. Andernfalls parken Sie auf rauem Beton statt auf Fliesen, lassen einen Gang eingelegt, drehen den Lenker zum Ständer und arbeiten gleichmäßig von beiden Seiten. Spülen Sie die Seife laufend vom Standfuß weg. Halten Sie einen Hochdruckstrahl von Lagern, Steckern und den Instrumenten fern; ein Schlauch oder ein Eimer ist für die Monster 797 ohnehin schonender. Trocknen Sie die Bremsen, indem Sie langsam anfahren und ein paar Mal leicht bremsen, bevor Sie sie wirklich brauchen. Und sobald das Motorrad sauber ist, ist es ein guter Moment, die Pads und ihre Befestigungen anzusehen, weil sich frische Spuren nicht mehr im Schmutz verstecken.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Liste nennt die Monster 797 der Jahre 2017 und 2018 für den TP090, und wir haben die Pads genau für diese Jahre verlinkt. Accossato gibt außerdem an, dass seine Sturzpads bei bestimmten Motorrädern das Bohren der Verkleidung verlangen, ohne diese aufzuführen; fragen Sie uns deshalb vor der Bestellung nach Ihrer Monster 797. Die vorderen Achsprotektoren PF049 sind für dieses Modell ebenfalls gelistet. Dieselben Pads finden sich in unserem Shop auch für die Scrambler 800, die Scrambler 1100 und die Hypermotard 950. Lenken Sie nach der Montage bis zu beiden Anschlägen und prüfen Sie, ob nichts die Pads berührt.
Straßenzulassung
Eine deutsche ABE oder ein anderer Zulassungsnachweis für den TP090 liegt uns nicht vor, deshalb listen wir diese Pads für Renn- und Wettbewerbseinsatz.
