Dieses Accossato-Stahlflexkit ist eigens für die KTM 500EXC-F (2013–2015) gebaut, folgt dem Standard-Layout und tritt an die Stelle der serienmäßigen Gummileitung. Es ist für Fahrer gedacht, die das Motorrad über Motocross-Strecken und anspruchsvolles Geländeterrain bewegen. Da das Stahlflexgeflecht sich unter Druck weit weniger ausdehnt als Gummi, spürt der Fahrer eine direktere Verbindung zwischen Hebel und Bremssattel.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Die Leitung der 500EXC-F ist mit einem Flugzeugbau-Edelstahlgeflecht über dem Druckschlauch ausgeführt, gewählt wegen seiner Beständigkeit gegen Abrieb, UV-Licht und die Aufweichung, die eine Gummileitung mit der Zeit erfasst – über die gesamte Produktion der Baujahre 2013–2015. Die Anschlussarmaturen dieses Kits bestehen aus Edelstahl, erhältlich blank oder lackiert in Rot, Grün, Blau, Schwarz oder Gold, wie es dem Fitting-Material entspricht, das Accossato bei vergleichbaren Kits seines Sortiments verwendet. Die Ummantelung dieses Kits ist in zwanzig Farben erhältlich, sodass sie auf der 500EXC-F entweder optisch zurücktreten oder zum bewussten Gestaltungselement werden kann. Zusammen mit den lackierten Fittings ergeben sich am fertigen Motorrad viele verschiedene Farbkombinationen.
Standard-Layout und Leitungsverlegung
Im Standard-Layout hat Accossato die Verlegung der einen Stahlflexleitung an die Leitung angepasst, die KTM ursprünglich an der 500EXC-F verbaute, passend zur Version der Baujahre 2013–2015. Dieses Kit ist speziell für den vorderen Bremskreis der 500EXC-F bestimmt; die hintere Leitung ist nicht Teil dieses Angebots. Eine mit dem Modell vertraute Werkstatt braucht keine besonderen Hinweise zur Verlegung, da der Weg gegenüber dem Original unverändert bleibt. Den Abschluss bildet eine vollständige Entlüftung, denn eingeschlossene Luft würde den festeren Hebel sonst verschlucken.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Die Passform dieses Kits ist auf die KTM 500EXC-F der Baujahre 2013–2015 im Standard-Layout zugeschnitten. Da mehrere verwandte Modelle dieselbe Bremsanlage teilen, passt dasselbe Kit auch auf die KTM 125EXC (2013–2015), da diese Modelle unter der Haut eng verwandt sind; der Fitment-Tab nennt die genauen Baujahresbereiche. Für die 500EXC-F ist zudem ein weiteres Accossato-Kit erhältlich; dieses hier deckt das Standard-Layout (nur vorne) ab, während das andere einem anderen Layout folgt, weshalb sich ein Vergleich beider Angebote lohnt. Das Kit erhebt keinen Anspruch, fremde Modelle abzudecken; es ist für dieses eine Motorrad gebaut, das für Offroad- und Enduro-Einsatz ausgelegt ist, wo das Gefühl für die Kontrolle genauso zählt wie die Bodenfreiheit.
