Der MY008 ist Accossatos Schnellgasgriff für die Suzuki GSX-R1000, gebaut zwischen 2009 und 2016, ausgestattet mit dem zweifarbigen GR006-Griff in fünf wählbaren Farben und geliefert mit dem passenden SU004-Gaszugsatz sowie drei austauschbaren Nockenscheiben. Gegenüber dem einfarbigen GR001 am MY002 für dieselbe GSX-R1000 tauscht der GR006 drei Griffarben gegen die Möglichkeit eines zweifarbigen Looks auf der Hebelseite des Lenkers.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Das Gehäuse des MY008 folgt demselben zweiteiligen, CNC-gefrästen Aluminiumbau wie jeder andere Satz im Accossato-Sortiment, eloxiert in acht Kappenfarben. Sein GR006-Griff wird als zweifarbig beschrieben, angeboten in fünf Griffarben gegenüber den acht des GR001 – ein Tausch, den Accossato zugunsten der Zweifarb-Ausführung macht statt einer breiteren Einfarbwahl. Drei Nockenscheiben mit 40, 43 und 45 mm liegen bei, wobei Accossato eine größere Nockenscheibe mit einem schnelleren Gasgriff und längerem Griffdrehweg verbindet, eine kleinere mit dem Gegenteil. Der mitgelieferte SU004-Gaszug ist speziell für diese GSX-R1000-Generation zugeschnitten.
Ein anderer Look für dieselbe Acht-Jahres-Passform
Wie der für denselben GSX-R1000-Zeitraum gebaute MY002 stützt sich auch der MY008 auf die breite Abdeckung des SU004-Gaszugs von 2009 bis 2016, sodass sich die Passformfrage zwischen beiden Sätzen nicht unterscheidet; was sich ändert, ist allein der Griff. Ein Käufer, der sich zwischen beiden entscheidet, wägt einen einfarbigen GR001 in acht Farben gegen einen zweifarbigen GR006 in fünf Farben ab, nicht zwei unterschiedliche Stufen von Kompatibilität oder Verarbeitungsqualität. So oder so sind der SU004-Gaszug und die drei austauschbaren Nockenscheiben im Gehäuse dieselben Teile, unabhängig davon, welcher Griff gewählt wird, sodass keiner der beiden Sätze über das Aussehen des fertigen Cockpits hinaus im Vorteil ist.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Die Suzuki GSX-R1000 von 2009 bis 2016 ist die Passform hinter dem MY008, da der mitgelieferte SU004-Gaszug speziell auf diese Generation zugeschnitten ist; eine aktuelle GSX-R1000 ab 2017 benötigt den separaten, auf dem SU008-Gaszug aufgebauten Satz, gezeigt im Fitment-Tab. Die komplette Baugruppe ersetzt den originalen Gasgriff der Suzuki samt Zugverlauf.
Straßenzulassung
Für den MY008 ist von Accossato keine ABE oder Teilezertifizierung dokumentiert; die Zulassungsvorschriften hängen vom Land ab, daher vor dem Straßeneinsatz prüfen. Nach dem Einbau sicherstellen, dass das Gas über seinen gesamten Drehweg selbstständig in den Leerlauf zurückkehrt, bevor das Motorrad gefahren wird.
