Fertigung und Materialgüte
Präzision entsteht hier durch Vertrautheit, nicht durch exotische Teile. Steiles Gelände und eine arbeitende Kupplung
Auf Hard-Enduro-Gelände wird die Kupplung mehr genutzt als das Gas, und die Anforderungen an einen Hebel sind spezifisch. Das Hebelblatt muss jedes Mal vollständig lösen, wenn die Hand entspannt, denn ein auch nur leicht hängender Hebel lässt die Lamellen rutschen, während der Fahrer glaubt, sie seien eingekuppelt, und auf einer rutschigen Stufe zeigt sich das als plötzlicher Antriebsverlust. Es muss jedes Mal an derselben Stelle zurückkehren, da der Fahrer eine Bewegung timt, statt sie zu beobachten. Und es muss sich frei drehen, denn ein steifes Bedienelement wird mit der ganzen Hand statt mit zwei Fingern bedient, und eine greifende Hand kann nicht gleichzeitig lenken. Alle drei sind Wartungsfragen, keine Produktfragen. Reinigen Sie Lagerstelle und Bohrung regelmäßig, fetten Sie leicht, und prüfen Sie auf Spiel, indem Sie das Ende des Hebelblatts festhalten und seitlich bewegen. Ersetzen Sie einen bei einem Sturz verbogenen Hebel, statt ihn zu richten; auf Gelände, wo der nächste Abschnitt einen einzigen entscheidenden Kupplungszug verlangen kann, um nicht zu fallen, ist ein möglicherweise reißendes Hebelblatt keine sinnvolle Sparsamkeit. Es lohnt sich auch, über die Position des Bedienelements nachzudenken: Ein Fahrer, der den Tag im Stehen verbringt, möchte den Hebel weiter nach unten geneigt, als es sich im Sitzen auf der 300EXC in der Werkstatt richtig anfühlt, also stellen Sie ihn mit Gewicht auf den Fußrasten ein und prüfen Sie ihn nach dem ersten Anstieg erneut.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato gibt den AGS14 für die 300EXC von 2006 bis 2023 an und nennt keinen weiteren Original-Kupplungshebel für dieses Modell, was die linke Seite einfach macht. Die rechte Seite ist weniger übersichtlich: Zwei Bremscodes sind gelistet, der AGD316 für 2014 bis 2023 und der AGDS629 für 2014 bis 2020, getrennt nach Modellversion statt nach Saison, sodass das montierte Hebelblatt oder ein Foto entscheidet.
