DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ducati built the Streetfighter 848 in the image of its superbikes, but without a fairing and with a wide, flat handlebar, and many owners have since taken it to the circuit. On a track day a crash is always possible, even for careful riders, and the most common kind is the lowside: a tyre loses grip in a bend, the bike slides away on its side and usually comes to rest in the gravel. In a right-hander that side is the right, where the brake lever sits. For the Streetfighter 848 of 2012 to 2015, Accossato offers the AGD209, a black replacement brake lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
Racing spares need to be available and affordable, and that is the idea behind the AGD209. Accossato developed it as a replacement of the original type, following the form of the lever Ducati fitted to the Streetfighter 848, and aimed it at good value for money. The company states that its production process gives these levers greater resistance after damage or a crash. The lever is black, as the list gives it for this bike, and Accossato provides no further details about it.
After a Lowside in a Right-Hander
Once the bike has stopped and you know you are unhurt, the marshals will usually help you get it out of the gravel. Before anyone thinks of riding it back, look at what took the slide. On a naked bike like the Streetfighter 848 the damage typically starts at the bar end and the brake lever and continues with the right footrest, the pedal on that side, the exhaust and the edge of the tank. For the front brake, check more than the lever. The reservoir on the master cylinder can crack, the hose can be pulled or scuffed, and the handlebar itself may be bent. Back in the pits, clean the gravel out of everything, fit a new brake lever if the old one is bent or shortened, and grease its pivot lightly. Then pump the lever several times with the bike standing still and check that the pressure point feels firm and repeatable. If it feels soft or changes from one pull to the next, the bike stays in the pits until the cause has been found.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGD209 for the Streetfighter 848 from 2012 to 2015 and names no other replacement brake lever for this bike. On the clutch side you can choose between the silver AGS199 for 2012 to 2015 and the black AGS200 for 2013 to 2015. The AGD209 is also listed with us for the Multistrada 1200, the Diavel and the Monster 1200. Accossato's CNC levers for the Streetfighter 848 are EDF099 for the brake and ESH011 for the clutch, if you would rather keep a tuning part in the pit box.
Road Approval
The AGD209 reaches us without an ABE or a test mark. We therefore offer it for racing and competition.
