Fertigung und Materialgüte
Das Gehäuse wird aus einem Aluminiumrohling CNC-gefertigt und vor der Oberflächenbehandlung auf einer 3D-Messmaschine geprüft, damit der 60-mm-Mittenabstand bei jedem Exemplar, das Accossato ausliefert, gleich bleibt. Zwei Kolben aus Ergal-Aluminium, je 34 mm im Durchmesser, sitzen mit montierten Staubdichtungen im Gehäuse, und zwei Bremsbeläge AGPA42 sind bereits eingeclipst, lieferbar in organischer oder gesinterter Mischung je nach gewählter Option. Die hier aufgebrachte Schwarz-eloxal-Behandlung ist eine der dunkleren Oberflächen im PZ009-Sortiment, neben einer helleren Harteloxal-Option und einer verchromten Ausführung.
Einen einzelnen beschädigten Bremssattel ersetzen
Ein Gabelbein, das bei einem Sturz zu Boden geht, beschädigt selten beide Bremssättel gleichermaßen, weshalb Accossato den PZ009 als linken und als rechten Bremssattel führt und nicht nur als passendes Paar. Die einzelne zu ersetzende Seite in Schwarz eloxal zu bestellen, hält die Oberfläche einheitlich mit dem noch montierten Bremssattel am anderen Bein, vorausgesetzt dieser war bereits schwarz eloxiert, und erspart die Bezahlung eines zweiten, noch funktionstüchtigen Sattels. Es lohnt sich, vor der Bestellung die Oberfläche des verbliebenen Bremssattels zu prüfen, da der PZ009 auch in Harteloxal und verchromt angeboten wird; die beiden Seiten eines Motorrads müssen nicht exakt übereinstimmen, sehen aber meist besser aus, wenn sie es tun.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der PZ009 ist ein universeller 60-mm-Radialbremssattel ohne Liste benannter Motorräder, daher sollte vor der Bestellung der 60-mm-Mittenabstand mit dem zu ersetzenden Bremssattel abgeglichen werden, ebenso Durchmesser und Dicke der Bremsscheibe, die er aufnimmt. Ein Montagehalter liegt nicht bei, daher lässt sich beim Ersatz einer einzelnen Seite meist der vorhandene Halter weiterverwenden, sofern er bei demselben Sturz nicht ebenfalls beschädigt wurde.
Straßenzulassung
Accossato dokumentiert für den PZ009 keine ABE, und der Einbau eines Ersatz-Bremssattels an einem für die Straße zugelassenen Motorrad sollte vorab mit der zuständigen Behörde geklärt werden, falls sich die Spezifikation gegenüber dem ursprünglich verbauten Teil ändert. Die Montage sollte einer qualifizierten Werkstatt überlassen werden, da die Bremsanlage sicherheitsrelevant ist.
