Die CY028 teilt sich den 16-mm-Kolben und den festen 18-mm-Achsabstand mit der CY027 und ist damit für Einzelscheiben-Vorderradbremsen ausgelegt, setzt aber einen starren statt klappenden Hebel ein; dieser Eintrag betrifft das natur eloxierte Gehäuse. Accossato gibt den 18-mm-Achsabstand für die Rennstrecke frei, wobei er sich ebenso für die Straße eignet. Weil der Hebel fest ist, lässt er sich nicht flach ans Gehäuse klappen, sondern steht jederzeit starr ab.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Dieses Gehäuse wird CNC aus Aluminium gefräst und natur eloxiert belassen, darauf ist ein starrer statt klappender Hebel montiert. Edelstahl hält den Hebel an der Schelle, das Entlüftungsventil ist aus verzinktem Stahl, die Dichtungen aus Formula-1-Compound – dieselbe Spezifikation wie in der gesamten CY02x-Familie. Eine versetzte Aufnahme wirkt dem Durchbiegen des Gehäuses beim Ziehen am Hebel entgegen, und die Bohrung ist so geformt, dass der Leerweg des Hebels um mehr als die Hälfte gegenüber einer gewöhnlichen Radialpumpe gekürzt ist.
Starrer Hebel an einer Einzelscheiben-Pumpe
Die Kombination aus festem Hebel und dem Einzelscheiben-Kolben von 16 mm ergibt eine direkte Verbindung mit nur einem Gelenk zwischen den Fingern des Fahrers und der Bremspumpe, ohne das Klappgelenk der CY027. Bei dieser natur eloxierten CY028 tragen sowohl der lange als auch der kurze Hebel eine Erleichterungsöse (RST), sodass sich beide nur in der Griffweite, nicht in der Ausstattung unterscheiden. Weil diese Pumpe denselben 16-mm-Kolben wie die CY027 nutzt, können Werkstätten bei beiden Einheiten auf dieselben Ersatzteile wie Edelstahlschrauben und Dichtungen zurückgreifen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
54 Motorräder sind für die CY028 bestätigt, dieselbe Liste aus Reise- und Roadster-Modellen wie bei der CY027, darunter die BMW F750GS, die Kawasaki Z650, die Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom, die Honda CB1100RS und die BMW R NineT; der Fitment-Reiter führt die vollständige Liste mit Baujahren. Dieselbe Festhebel-Pumpe wird außerdem separat mit vernickeltem Gehäuse angeboten. Weil der Hebel hier starr statt klappbar ist, sollten Fahrer, die von einer Klapphebel-Einheit von Accossato umsteigen, ein festeres, direkteres Gefühl am Lenker erwarten.
Straßenzulassung
Für diese Bremspumpe liegt keine deutsche Straßenzulassung vor; sie ist für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke und im Wettbewerb vorgesehen.
Lieferumfang
Der Lieferumfang umfasst die Accossato 16x18 Radial-Bremspumpe mit dem starren schwarzen Hebel, erhältlich lang oder kurz, beide mit Erleichterungsöse (RST), im natur eloxierten Gehäuse. Edelstahl-Befestigungsschrauben, das verzinkte Entlüftungsventil und die Dichtungen aus Formula-1-Compound sind an der Einheit montiert. Der Bremslichtschalter (ID001 oder ID002) und der Ausgleichsbehälter sind nicht enthalten.
