Die Accossato 16x16 Bremspumpe verbindet einen 16-mm-Kolben, ausgelegt für Einscheibenanlagen, mit dem weichsten festen Achsabstand der Baureihe: 16 mm, eine Einstellung, die einen etwas längeren Hebelweg gegen weniger Handkraft am Hebel tauscht. Sie passt zu Fahrern auf Einscheiben-Maschinen, die ein einfaches, progressives Bremsgefühl statt den schärfstmöglichen Biss wollen. Der lange Klapphebel mit Erleichterungsöse wird in sieben Farben angeboten, auf einem CNC-gefrästen, in Italien schwarz eloxierten Gehäuse.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Edelstahl befestigt jedes Teil dieser Bremspumpe am Lenker, das Entlüftungsventil ist verzinkter Stahl, und Formula-1-Compound bildet die inneren Dichtungen – alles ausgelegt, um Bremsflüssigkeit und Hitze über eine lange Nutzungsdauer zu widerstehen. Das Gehäuse selbst ist CNC-gefrästes Aluminium, in Accossatos italienischem Werk schwarz eloxiert. Eine versetzt in die Schelle eingearbeitete Aufnahme bewahrt die Einheit davor, beim kräftigen Ziehen des Hebels zu verformen, und der Leerweg – der Weg, bevor die Beläge Kontakt bekommen – ist gegenüber einer Standard-Radialpumpe um mehr als die Hälfte verkürzt.
Ein Einscheiben-Kolben mit der weichsten Einstellung
Die Kombination aus dem kleineren 16-mm-Kolben, Accossatos Einscheiben-Spezifikation, mit dem 16-mm-Achsabstand ergibt die leichteste Hebelbetätigung, die an einem Einscheiben-Vorderrad verfügbar ist: Es braucht weniger Kraft, um Bremsdruck aufzubauen, dafür muss der Hebel etwas weiter ziehen, um ihn zu liefern – genau die Balance, die Accossato für diese Achsabstandseinstellung beschreibt. Dieses leichtere Ansprechen passt eher zu Fahrern, die häufig statt hart bremsen, im Pendler- oder Tourenbetrieb, als zu einem Rennstreckenfahrer, der den kürzestmöglichen Hebelweg sucht. Der hier verbaute Klapphebel bringt einen zweiten Vorteil: Weil das Blatt an der Lenkerbefestigung drehbar ist, klappt es bei einem Sturz oder Stoß weg, statt sich zu verbiegen – was vor allem bei einem Motorrad zählt, das auch mal auf der Straße parkt statt nur auf dem Montageständer.
