Diese Klapphebel-Version der 14x20 behält denselben reinen Streckencharakter wie ihr Gegenstück mit starrem Hebel: einen 14-mm-Kolben und einen 20-mm-Achsabstand, den Accossato nicht für den Straßeneinsatz empfiehlt und der von Fahrern gewählt wird, die an Rennstrecken-Tagen den kürzestmöglichen Hebelweg wollen. Der Klapphebel bietet in der Boxengasse oder im Fahrerlager zusätzlichen Schutz, indem er bei einem Stoß zurückklappt statt abzubrechen, während Erleichterungsöse, Hebelfarbe und passender Verstellknopf aus der übrigen 14-mm-Familie übernommen werden.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Wie jede andere 14-mm-Einheit der Baureihe wird auch diese Bremspumpe in Italien geschmiedet, CNC-gefräst und natur eloxiert. Edelstahlschrauben, ein verzinktes Entlüftungsventil und Dichtungen aus Formula-1-Compound sind eingebaut, um anhaltenden Wärmezyklen und fortwährendem Bremsflüssigkeitskontakt zu widerstehen, beides durch den strafferen 20-mm-Achsabstand dieser Einheit wahrscheinlicher. Eine versetzte Schelle in der Befestigung verringert das Verwinden bei starkem Bremsen, und die inneren Kanäle sind so geformt, dass der Leerweg deutlich unter der Hälfte einer herkömmlichen Radial-Bremspumpe bleibt. Die Leitungen werden über das in der Baureihe übliche M10x1-Gewinde angeschlossen.
Ein Klapphebel kombiniert mit dem kürzesten Hebelweg
Mechanisch ändert sich zwischen dieser Einheit und der 14x20 mit starrem Hebel nichts: Der Kolben bleibt bei 14 mm, wie für Roller vorgeschlagen, und der Achsabstand bleibt bei 20 mm, der straffsten, kürzesten Hebelweg-Einstellung der Familie, die Accossato der Rennstrecke statt der Straße vorbehält. Was ein Klapphebel bringt, ist Widerstandsfähigkeit, wenn das Fahrzeug fällt, im Fahrerlager umkippt oder beim Rangieren angestoßen wird, da der Hebel auf seinem Scharnier zurückschwingen kann, statt vollständig abzubrechen. Für Fahrer, die bereits die schärfste Achsabstand-Einstellung für den Streckeneinsatz bevorzugen, ist die Kombination mit einem Klapphebel eine praktische Möglichkeit, das Risiko eines beschädigten Bedienteils zwischen den Sessions zu verringern.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Für diese Bremspumpe ist keine Fahrzeugliste veröffentlicht. Lieferumfang
Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind die Accossato Radial-Bremspumpe 14x20 mit montiertem klappbaren, langem Hebel mit Erleichterungsöse, in der gewählten Hebelfarbe, sowie die passende Befestigungsmutter. Die Edelstahl-Befestigungsschrauben, das verzinkte Entlüftungsventil und die Dichtungen aus Formula-1-Compound sind bereits am Gerät montiert. Der Bremslichtschalter, separat erhältlich als ID001 oder ID002, sowie der Ausgleichsbehälter sind nicht enthalten und müssen gesondert erworben werden.
