Die Accossato 14x18 ist eine Radial-Bremspumpe im kleineren Format für Roller und leichtere Motorräder: Ein 14-mm-Kolben hält die Hebelbetätigung leicht, liefert aber dennoch eine sichere, gut kontrollierbare Vorderradbremse. Der Achsabstand liegt fest bei 18 mm, eine Einstellung, die Accossato für die Rennstrecke freigibt und ebenso für die Straße empfiehlt, und der hier montierte Hebel ist die starre Ausführung, lang, mit eingearbeiteter Erleichterungsöse. Das Gehäuse ist natur eloxiertes Aluminium, die Hebelfarbe wird von einem Verstellknopf im gleichen Ton begleitet, und diese Version wird als Universaleinheit ohne veröffentlichte Fahrzeugliste verkauft.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Schmieden und CNC-Fräsen in Italien verleihen dieser 14-mm-Bremspumpe ihre natur eloxierte Oberfläche und eng tolerierte Bohrung. Edelstahlschrauben halten das Gehäuse an der Schelle, das Entlüftungsventil ist verzinkt, und die inneren Dichtungen aus Formula-1-Compound sind so gewählt, dass sie Wärmezyklen und dauerhaften Kontakt mit Bremsflüssigkeit gut vertragen. Eine eingebaute versetzte Schelle hält das Verwinden gering, wenn der Hebel kräftig gezogen wird, und Accossato formt die Bohrung so, dass der Leerweg, also die Strecke bis die Beläge tatsächlich greifen, mehr als 50 Prozent kürzer ausfällt als bei einer herkömmlichen Radialeinheit. Die Leitung wird über ein M10x1-Gewinde angeschlossen.
Kolbendurchmesser und Achsabstand des starren Hebels erklärt
Die Kennzahlen 14x18 beschreiben den kleinsten Kolben im Radial-Bremspumpen-Katalog von Accossato, gepaart mit einem Achsabstand aus der mittleren Kategorie. Der 14-mm-Kolben ist die Größe, die der Hersteller speziell für Roller vorschlägt, bei denen insgesamt geringere Bremskräfte dafür sorgen, dass eine kleinere Bohrung noch genug Flüssigkeit für eine einzelne Scheibe vorn bewegt. Der feste 18-mm-Achsabstand hält das Hebelverhältnis von Fahrt zu Fahrt konstant; Accossato führt ihn als für Trackdays geeignet und empfiehlt ihn ebenso für den Straßeneinsatz, sodass dies keine reine Streckeneinstellung ist. Da der Hebel hier die starre und nicht die klappbare Ausführung ist, lässt er sich bei einem Sturz oder Umfallen nicht flach an den Lenker legen, bleibt dafür aber die einfachere und meist leichtere der beiden Hebelbauarten, die Accossato in dieser Bohrungsgröße anbietet.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Diese Bremspumpe hat keine vom Hersteller veröffentlichte Fahrzeugliste; sie ist als universelle 14-mm-Radialeinheit für Maschinen mit 22-mm-Lenkerklemmung ausgelegt.
