Die Accossato 14x18 ist auch mit einem Klapphebel statt der starren Version erhältlich, mit demselben 14-mm-Kolben und 18-mm-Achsabstand, jedoch mit einem Hebel, der bei einem Stoß einklappen kann statt abzubrechen. Das macht sie zu einer beliebten Wahl für Roller und leichtere Motorräder, die auf engem Raum geparkt oder abgestellt werden, da der Klapphebel das Risiko eines beschädigten Bedienteils verringert, wenn das Fahrzeug umkippt. Die Erleichterungsöse bleibt erhalten, das Gehäuse ist natur eloxiertes Aluminium, und die Hebelfarbe wird von einem passenden Verstellknopf begleitet.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Das Gehäuse dieser Bremspumpe entsteht aus einem geschmiedeten Aluminiumrohling, der in Italien auf CNC-Maschinen bearbeitet und mit einer natur eloxierten Oberfläche versehen wird. Die Befestigung erfolgt mit Edelstahlteilen, das Entlüftungsventil ist verzinkt, und für die inneren Dichtungen kommt Formula-1-Compound zum Einsatz, damit sie wiederholter Hitzebelastung und anhaltendem Flüssigkeitskontakt standhalten. In die Schelle ist eine versetzte Ausführung eingearbeitet, die ein Verwinden beim starken Bremsen verhindert, während die innere Kanalführung den Leerweg auf unter die Hälfte dessen reduziert, was eine Standard-Radialpumpe dieser Größe benötigen würde. Die Leitungen werden über das in der Baureihe übliche M10x1-Gewinde angeschraubt.
Die Wahl des Klapphebels an der 14-mm-Bremspumpe
Mechanisch ist diese Einheit identisch mit der Version mit starrem Hebel in 14x18: derselbe 14-mm-Kolben, der für Roller vorgeschlagen wird, und derselbe 18-mm-Achsabstand, der für die Rennstrecke freigegeben und ebenso für die Straße empfohlen wird. Der Unterschied liegt allein im Hebel selbst. Ein Klapphebel ist an seiner Basis gelenkig gelagert, sodass ein Stoß, etwa beim Umfallen des Fahrzeugs im Stand, ihn zurückdrücken kann, statt ihn abzubrechen – wichtig vor allem bei Rollern und Pendlermaschinen, die häufig auf engem Raum abgestellt werden. Die Erleichterungsöse wird von der starren Version übernommen, und Griffweite, Farbauswahl und Verstellknopf funktionieren identisch, sodass die Wahl zwischen beiden Varianten vom täglichen Einsatz des Fahrzeugs abhängt und nicht von einer Änderung des Bremsgefühls.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Für diese Einheit gibt es keine vom Hersteller veröffentlichte Fahrzeugliste; sie wird als universelle 14-mm-Radial-Bremspumpe für eine 22-mm-Lenkerklemmung verkauft. Bestätigen Sie dieses Maß an Ihrem eigenen Lenker, stellen Sie sicher, dass Bremsleitung und Sattel auf eine 14-mm-Bohrung ausgelegt sind, und prüfen Sie die Kombination aus Scheibe und Sattel, bevor Sie bestellen.
