Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato sagt, sein organischer Heckbelag arbeite lange und trage die Scheibe nur wenig ab. Bei einem Viertakt-Enduro mit täglichen Fahrten und Wochenendtouren arbeitet der Heckbelag mehr, als viele Besitzer denken, lange Haltbarkeit ist also willkommen. Der Belag ist mit der serienmäßigen AGPP80-Platte verbunden, der Bremssattel hinten bleibt also, wie ihn KTM gebaut hat.
Stadtstraßen und Schotterwege
Im Schritttempo, im Stau oder auf einem schmalen Schotterweg ist die Hinterradbremse das wichtigste Steuermittel. Sie hält die 350 EXC-F im Gleichgewicht, ohne die Lenkung zu stören, und wird dabei in kleinen Dosen eingesetzt. Eine weiche, progressive Mischung eignet sich gut für diese Aufgabe, weil sie auf einen leichten Fuß reagiert, ohne zu greifen. Dieselbe Eigenschaft hilft am Wochenende bei losen Abfahrten, wo eine sanfte Hinterradbremse den Reifen verzögern lässt, ohne zu rutschen.
Behalten Sie die Heckbeläge bei jedem Service im Blick, denn der tief sitzende Bremssattel sammelt Straßenschmutz und Schlamm. Reinigen Sie den Kolben vor dem Zurückdrücken, und pumpen Sie das Pedal nach dem Einbau, bis es wieder fest ist. Ein kurzer Blick auf den Flüssigkeitsbehälter dabei kostet nichts.
