Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossatos Beschreibung dieses Teils lautet: vergrößert, Ergal, für Motocross-, Enduro- und Offroad-Motorräder, nicht mehr; Ergal ist eine hochfeste Aluminiumlegierung. An der 500EXC-F von 2017 bis 2023 kommt das Set in orange oder schwarz, eine Raste je Seite.
Traktion im Schlamm finden
Dicker, klebriger Schlamm bezwingt kleinere Motoren schnell, lässt das Hinterrad einsinken, bis es sich schlicht nicht mehr dreht, während eine 500EXC-F genug Drehmoment hat, um durch Bedingungen weiterzuziehen, die eine leichtere Maschine regelrecht abwürgen und ihren Fahrer schiebend zurücklassen würden. Das Können liegt darin, diese Leistung sanft statt auf einmal einzusetzen, denn zu viel Gas im tiefen Schlamm lässt das Rad genauso leicht durchdrehen, ohne das Motorrad auch nur einen Zentimeter voranzubringen.
Durch all dieses Durchdrehen und Wiederherstellen leisten die Füße des Fahrers ständige, unspektakuläre Arbeit, stützen gegen ein Motorrad, das unvorhersehbar ruckt und zerrt, während der Hinterreifen unter der Oberfläche nach Grip sucht. Eine breite, stabile Raste gibt den Stiefeln etwas Festes, woran sie sich halten können, genau dann, wenn sich der Rest des Motorrads alles andere als stabil anfühlt, was die meiste Zeit der Fall ist, sobald der Schlamm tief genug wird, um zu zählen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Dieser FR798 passt nur auf die von 2017 bis 2023 gebaute 500EXC-F; ein Motorrad von 2012 bis 2016 braucht den FR795, eines ab 2024 den FR809, jeweils mit eigener Farbwahl. Es lohnt sich, das genaue Baujahr Ihres Motorrads vor der Bestellung zu prüfen, und wir bestätigen es bei Bedarf gern. Derselbe FR798 passt außerdem auf mehrere GasGas- und Husqvarna-Viertakt-Modelle.
Straßenzulassung
Für diese Fußraste liegt uns weder eine ABE noch ein vergleichbares Zulassungsdokument vor, sie wird deshalb für den Wettbewerbseinsatz angeboten.
