Beobachten Sie die Spitzenfahrer bei einem großen Motocross-Rennen, und Sie werden sehen, wie sie ihre Motorräder beim Absprung eines Sprungs seitlich ablegen und die Maschine flach statt hoch durch die Luft fliegen lassen. Diese Technik heißt Scrubbing, und an einer Husqvarna FC 350 kann sie bei jedem Sprung der Runde Zeit sparen, sofern das Timing stimmt. Ein Großteil der Arbeit läuft über die Beine und die Fußrasten. Für die FC 350 von 2016 bis 2022 fertigt Accossato vergrößerte Fußrasten aus Ergal, erhältlich in orange oder schwarz.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato nennt diese Rasten vergrößert und gibt Ergal als Material an, eine hochfeste Aluminiumsorte; der vorgesehene Einsatz ist Motocross, Enduro und Offroad-Fahren. Das ist die gesamte technische Geschichte, die der Hersteller erzählt, und wir fügen keine eigenen Kapitel hinzu. Was die größere Abmessung in der Praxis bedeutet, ist einfach genug: Drückt der Fahrer kräftig über die Füße, hat der Stiefel eine breitere Fläche darunter. Zwei Rasten bilden das Set, eine je Seite, und für diese Generation der FC 350 besteht die Wahl zwischen orange und schwarz.
Das Motorrad niedrig halten
Ein Scrub beginnt an der Sprungflanke. Statt die Rampe gerade hinaufzufahren und die Federung das Motorrad in die Luft schleudern zu lassen, dreht der Fahrer den Lenker leicht und legt die FC 350 zur Seite, sobald die Räder die Kante erreichen, und drückt das Motorrad mit den Beinen nach unten. Das Ergebnis ist ein flacherer, kürzerer Flug und eine frühere Rückkehr zum Gas bei der Landung. Bei voller Geschwindigkeit in den Händen eines Profis wirkt es mühelos; in Wirklichkeit verlangt es präzises Timing und großes Vertrauen in das Motorrad.
Fahrern, die das lernen wollen, wird meist geraten, auf einem kleinen Tabletop mit sanfter Flanke zu beginnen und die Neigung bei mäßigem Tempo zu üben, bevor sie etwas Größeres versuchen. Während der gesamten Bewegung bleiben die Stiefel fest stehen, denn die Beine lenken die Fluglage des Motorrads, und ein abrutschender Fuß kann aus einem Scrub einen Sturz machen. Ein breiter, sicherer Stand gehört deshalb zur Technik, zusammen mit Geduld und einem Trainer oder erfahrenen Freund, der vom Streckenrand aus zusieht.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Für die FC 350 gibt es drei Accossato-Fußrastensets, eines je Modelljahr-Gruppe, und dieser FR798 ist das für 2016 bis 2022. Besitzer eines Motorrads von 2014 oder 2015 brauchen den FR795; für 2023 bis 2026 nennt die Liste den FR809.
