Fertigung und Materialgüte
Zu ZXC sagt Accossato, es handle sich um eine für den Rennsport ideale Keramikmischung. Er ist eine Alternative zur üblichen Renn-Mischung mit eigenem Charakter am Hebel. Accossatos allgemeine Aussagen zu Verschleißfestigkeit, kontrollierter Hitze mit begrenztem Fading und kräftigem Verzögern gelten auch für ihn. Das Unternehmen sitzt heute in Villastellone bei Turin.
Mischungen in der Box wechseln
Der Belagwechsel an einer GSX-S1000F in der Box ist eine Sache von wenigen Minuten, wenn die Routine stimmt. Bremssättel abnehmen, Kolben vor dem Zurückdrücken reinigen, die neuen Beläge einsetzen, die Bremssättel mit dem richtigen Drehmoment wieder montieren und den Hebel pumpen, bis er fest steht. Bremsenreiniger von den neuen Reibflächen und von den Reifen fernhalten. Danach den Fahrer zu einer ruhigen Runde schicken, um die Beläge einzubremsen. Anschließend gezielt nachfragen: wo der Hebel zurückkommt, wie sich die Front in den langsamsten Kurven belastet und ob sich der Bremspunkt verschoben hat. So lässt sich beurteilen, ob die Keramikmischung zum Motorrad passt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
AGPA106 ist für die GSX-S 1000 F von 2015 bis 2023 gelistet. Das Motorrad hat zwei Bremssättel vorn, und eine Box rüstet einen davon aus, also zwei Boxen einplanen. Accossatos Heckbelag für das Modell ist AGPP88, DK251 die Scheibe. Derselbe Belag wird auch als Sinterbeläge, EV1 Straße/Rennstrecke und EV2-Rennmischung angeboten.
