Der BS004 ist der Montagehalter, den Accossato für seinen daumenbetätigten Hinterradbremszylinder baut, CNC-gefräst aus Aluminium statt gegossen oder gestanzt. Es handelt sich um ein kleines, einzweckiges Teil: Am Halter selbst gibt es nichts zu verstellen oder auszuwählen, er dient allein dazu, den Daumenbrems-Hauptbremszylinder in der von Accossato vorgesehenen Position zu halten. Er wird in Italien gefertigt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den BS004 aus Aluminium, dasselbe Fertigungsverfahren, das es im gesamten Brems- und Kupplungszubehör einsetzt, statt eines gegossenen oder gepressten Halters. Als Montageteil statt eines bewegten Bauteils steckt im BS004 wenig außer dem Aluminium selbst: Er ist so geformt und bemessen, dass er den Daumen-Hinterradbremszylinder an Ort und Stelle hält, gefertigt in Italien wie der Rest des Accossato-Katalogs.
Eine einzige Aufgabe: den Daumenbremszylinder halten
Daumenbetätigte Hinterradbremsen verlegen die Bremsbedienung vom üblichen rechten Fußpedal zu einem Daumenhebel nahe dem linken Griff, ein Layout, das vor allem mit Offroad- und Motocross-Fahrstil verbunden ist, bei dem das Erreichen eines Fußpedals im Stehen auf den Fußrasten schwieriger ist. Der BS004 ändert nichts daran, wie diese Bremse arbeitet; er gibt Accossatos Daumenbrems-Hauptbremszylinder lediglich einen festen Montagepunkt, speziell für genau dieses eine Bauteil gebaut statt als universelle Klemme, die auch andere Teile aufnehmen könnte.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato baut den BS004 speziell zur Aufnahme seines eigenen Daumen-Hinterradbremszylinders; keine andere Anwendung ist dafür dokumentiert, und es wird keine motorradspezifische Passform genannt. Wer ihn verbaut, sollte beim Daumenbrems-Hauptbremszylinder selbst ansetzen und bestätigen, dass es sich um die Accossato-Einheit handelt, für die dieser Halter ausgelegt ist, da der BS004 nicht als generische oder verstellbare Halterung für Bauteile anderer Marken beschrieben wird.
Straßenzulassung
Für den BS004 ist von Accossato keine ABE oder Teilezertifizierung dokumentiert; die Zulassungsvorschriften hängen vom Land ab, daher vor dem Straßeneinsatz prüfen.
