Nicht viele Motorräder werden so lange behalten wie die Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. Die ab 2008 gebaute Generation ist noch immer im Alltag im Einsatz, taucht noch immer bei Speed-Events auf und wird noch immer an Sonntagvormittagen von Besitzern poliert, die dasselbe Motorrad seit zehn Jahren oder länger haben. Bei so lange gehaltenen Motorrädern zählt, was sich warten lässt, nicht, was neu ist. Accossato führt die Hayabusa für den FC122, einen aus Aluminium gefrästen Tankdeckel mit Schnellverschluss, dessen Klinke in sechs Farben erhältlich ist.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Dieser Deckel wird aus Aluminium auf CNC-Anlagen gefräst, und sonst kommt nichts hinein, was Accossato meint, wenn es das Teil als robust und langlebig bezeichnet; die Form ist eine neue. Der Verschluss ist eine schnell schließende Klinke, sodass sich der Tank der Hayabusa mit einer Bewegung öffnet und mit einer weiteren schließt. Der Stift in der Klinke ist der Ort, an dem die Farbe lebt, gewählt aus sechs Tönen bei der Bestellung. Accossato hält diese Klinke im Katalog als einzelnes Ersatzteil, und das ist das Detail, das bei einem Motorrad am meisten zählt, das jemand behalten möchte.
Lange Besitzdauer, kleine Teile
Ein zehn oder fünfzehn Jahre gehaltenes Motorrad ist eine Reihe kleiner Entscheidungen statt eines großen Kaufs.
