Die Versys 1000 SE ist die Spitzenversion von Kawasakis großer Versys, mit elektronisch geregeltem Fahrwerk und einer langen Liste an Tourenkomfort, und ihre Besitzer sind es gewohnt, eine Tankfüllung danach zu beurteilen, wie weit sie trägt. Auf einer langen Tour ist diese Strecke großzügig. Auf einer Rennstrecke trinkt dasselbe Motorrad deutlich mehr, und Fahrer, die mit Straßengewohnheiten anreisen, werden regelmäßig überrascht. Für die Versys 1000 SE von 2019 bis 2024 bietet Accossato den FC126 an: einen Tankdeckel mit Schnellverschluss, auf CNC-Maschinen aus dem vollen Aluminium geschnitten, mit sechs Farben für den Stift seiner Klinke.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fertigt den FC126 vollständig aus Aluminium und nennt ihn robust und langlebig; das Aussehen ist ein neues vom eigenen Zeichenbrett. Eine schnell schließende Klinke erledigt die Arbeit am Einfüllstutzen, sodass Öffnen und Schließen sehr wenig Zeit kosten, was zählt, wenn die Tankstopps häufiger kommen als sonst. Den Stift der Klinke bestellen Sie in der Farbe, die Sie bevorzugen, von Schwarz oder Silber bis Rot, Blau, Grün oder Gold. Sollte er einmal beschädigt werden, ist die Klinke einzeln erhältlich, und der Rest des Deckels an der Versys 1000 SE macht weiter wie zuvor.
Warum die Reichweite auf der Rennstrecke schrumpft
Auf der Straße verbringt ein Tourenfahrer den größten Teil des Tages bei Teillast in einem hohen Gang, und genau dort ist ein großer Vierzylinder am sparsamsten. Eine Rennstrecke verlangt das Gegenteil: Gas weit offen auf jeder Geraden, hohe Drehzahlen durch die Gänge und hartes Bremsen in die nächste Kurve, Runde für Runde. Der Verbrauch steigt steil an, und eine Kraftstoffwarnung, die auf einem Tourentag normalerweise spät erscheint, kann schon nach wenigen Turns aufleuchten. Jede Reichweitenangabe, die Sie von der Straße im Kopf haben, hilft hier wenig, denn sie beschreibt eine völlig andere Fahrweise. Eine einfachere Methode funktioniert besser: morgens bis zu einem bekannten Stand füllen, notieren, wie viel jedes Nachtanken aufnimmt, und den Rest des Tages danach planen. Tanken Sie bei abgestelltem Motor und aufrecht auf einem Ständer stehender Versys 1000 SE, füllen Sie langsam ein und prüfen Sie, ob der Deckel vollständig geschlossen ist, bevor Sie zurück Richtung Boxengasse fahren.
