Fährt man eine Scrambler 1100 weit genug, schlägt irgendwann das Wetter um. Die große Scrambler lädt zu langen, unaufgeregten Tagen auf Landstraßen ein, und an solchen Tagen reist die Regenkleidung meist zusammengerollt unter einem Gurt oder in einer Hecktasche. Der Ärger beginnt am Straßenrand, wenn der Fahrer auf einem Bein hüpft, mit der Überhose kämpft und sich dabei an ein Motorrad lehnt, das nur auf dem Seitenständer ruht. Für die Scrambler 1100 listet Accossato seine Sturzpads TP090 für 2018 und 2019: CNC-gefrästes Aluminium mit farbig eloxiertem Einsatz.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den TP090 aus Aluminium auf CNC-Anlagen und versieht jedes Pad mit einem eloxierten Einsatz. Die Farbe wählen Sie aus sechs Möglichkeiten: Blau, Grün, Schwarz, Rot, Silber und Gold. Eine im gleichen Ton eloxierte Schraubenabdeckung lässt sich mitbestellen, oder die Befestigung bleibt für ein nüchternes Erscheinungsbild sichtbar. Die Packung enthält zwei Pads. An der Scrambler 1100 sollen sie das sein, was beim Umfallen zuerst den Boden berührt, was dem Rahmen und den benachbarten Teilen einen Teil des Schadens ersparen kann. Ein Pad, das einen harten Treffer abbekommen hat, wird ersetzt.
Regenkleidung am Straßenrand
Die meisten Fahrer ziehen die Regenkleidung zu spät und am falschen Ort an. Halten Sie an, bevor der Regen richtig einsetzt, und wählen Sie einen festen, ebenen Platz deutlich außerhalb des fließenden Verkehrs: eine Haltebucht, ein Bushäuschen oder das Vordach einer Tankstelle. Lassen Sie die Scrambler 1100 im ersten Gang mit zum Ständer gedrehtem Lenker stehen, und nutzen Sie sie niemals als Stütze, während Sie sich umziehen. Setzen Sie sich stattdessen auf eine Mauer oder einen Bordstein, ziehen Sie dort die Überhose über die Stiefel und die Jacke erst an, wenn Sie wieder fest auf beiden Beinen stehen. Ein Seitenstreifen, der fest aussieht, kann im Regen schnell weich werden, prüfen Sie also, ob der Ständer nicht schon einsinkt, bevor Sie wieder aufsteigen. Nasse Handschuhe lassen sich schwer über feuchte Hände ziehen; bewahren Sie ein Ersatzpaar in der Hecktasche auf. Denken Sie unterwegs daran, dass Farbmarkierungen und Metalldeckel als Erste an Grip verlieren. Fällt das Motorrad am Straßenrand doch um, sehen Sie sich die Pads an, bevor Sie weiterfahren.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Liste gibt den TP090 für die Scrambler 1100 von 2018 bis 2019 an, und unsere Angabe folgt diesen Jahren. Laut Accossato brauchen manche Motorräder für seine Sturzpads ein gebohrtes Loch in der Verkleidung, ohne diese zu nennen. Die Scrambler 1100 hat wenig Verkleidung, fragen Sie uns aber sicherheitshalber vor der Bestellung, ob an Ihrem Motorrad etwas gebohrt werden muss. Die hinteren Achsprotektoren PP018 sind ebenfalls für die Scrambler 1100 gelistet. In unserem Shop erscheint der TP090 außerdem für die Monster 797 und die Hypermotard 950.
Straßenzulassung
Die TP090-Pads kommen ohne ABE und ohne Prüfbericht zu uns, deshalb listen wir sie für Strecke und Wettbewerb.
