Die Yamaha WR250F verbringt ihre Wochenenden auf Trails, die nicht lange trocken bleiben, und ein Radwechsel hinten draußen auf der Runde, statt erst am Transporter, gehört ziemlich normal zu diesem Motorrad. Accossato führt seine Distanzhülse für das Hinterrad, auf Italienisch Distanziali ruota posteriore genannt, für die zwischen 2006 und 2020 gebaute WR250F, in Blau oder Silber, beidseitig an der Hinterradnabe auf der Achse.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Die WR250F ist eines von mehreren Motorrädern, die Accossato für die DSY01 benennt, zusammen mit den Baujahren und der Farbwahl; Material oder Maß der Hülsen sind nicht angegeben, und derselbe Eintrag deckt auch die WR450F, die YZ125 und die YZ250 ab. Blau und Silber sind einfach Farboptionen; keine davon ändert, wie die Hülsen das Rad in Position halten. Eine Hülse, die von einer Trail-Ausfahrt verschrammt, verbogen oder ganz fehlend zurückkommt, sollte man ersetzen statt weiterzuverwenden.
Verloren zwischen Laub und Schlamm
Ein Hinterrad am Rand eines schlammigen Trails abzubauen, ist keine saubere Angelegenheit, und die beiden Hülsen, die sofort frei werden, sobald die Achse herausgleitet, sind klein genug, um binnen Sekunden in nassem Laub oder weichem Boden zu verschwinden. Ein Fahrer, der weit vom Transporter einen Reifen wechselt oder eine verstopfte Kette freimacht, muss sorgfältig arbeiten und jede Hülse so ablegen, dass sie sichtbar bleibt, statt sie auf dem Stiefel zu balancieren oder ins Gras zu legen, denn eine verlorene Hülse bei schwindendem Licht wiederzufinden, ist selten praktikabel. Ein Ersatzpaar im Werkzeugroll für genau diese Situation sorgt dafür, dass eine verlorene Hülse nur wenige Minuten kostet, statt die Ausfahrt vorzeitig zu beenden, und deckt auch den Fall ab, dass eine Hülse nach einer langen, nassen Saison auf der WR250F einfach dünn geworden ist.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt die DSY01 für die WR250F über 2006 bis 2020, passend zu den hier genannten Jahren, und dasselbe Teil wird mit der WR450F, der YZ125 und der YZ250 geteilt, ein Zeichen dafür, wie viel diese Yamaha-Modelle am Hinterrad gemeinsam haben. Wer mehr als eines dieser Motorräder fährt, kann ein Ersatzpaar Hülsen für die ganze Garage nutzen.
