Motocross-Mechaniker haben eine alte Angewohnheit, die viel darüber verrät, wie oft Motorräder umfallen: Sie ziehen die Hebelschellen am Lenker nur so weit wie nötig an, damit sich die Armatur bei einem Sturz auf dem Lenker drehen kann, statt dass etwas bricht. An einer Husqvarna FC 450 von 2016 bis 2021 lässt sich diese Angewohnheit mit Accossatos C7284 kombinieren, einem Klapp-Kupplungshebel, aus Ergal 7075 gefräst. Mit einer Schelle, die sich drehen kann, und einem Hebelblatt, das wegklappen kann, hat die linke Seite des Motorrads zwei Möglichkeiten nachzugeben, statt abzubrechen.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato begann 1969 in Moncalieri bei Turin mit dem Bau von Wettbewerbsmotorrädern, und seine Offroad-Hebel sind mit Blick auf den Rennsport gemacht. Der C7284 wird in Italien aus massivem Ergal 7075, einer hochfesten Aluminiumlegierung, CNC-gefräst, um fest, leicht und zuverlässig zu sein. Er ist aus zwei Teilen aufgebaut: der dunklen Basis, die am Drehpunkt an der Kupplung sitzt, und einem Hebelblatt in Schwarz, Blau oder Orange, das über das Gelenk, das es wegklappen lässt, mit der Basis verbunden ist. Das Blatt hat die längere Kupplungsform, mit Platz für vier Finger.
Zwei Arten nachzugeben
Der Schellentrick ist einfach. Statt die Schelle der Armatur so fest wie möglich anzuziehen, stellt der Mechaniker sie so ein, dass der Hebel im normalen Fahrbetrieb an seinem Platz bleibt, sich unter einem harten Schlag aber auf dem Lenker dreht. Fällt die FC 450 auf die linke Seite, kann sich die ganze Einheit nach unten verdrehen, statt Widerstand zu leisten, und die Last auf den Hebel sinkt. Der Fahrer dreht sie zurück und fährt weiter. Gute Mechaniker prüfen die Einstellung nach jeder Wäsche, denn eine zu lockere Schelle lässt den Hebel während der Fahrt wandern, und das ist nicht besser.
Das klappbare Hebelblatt fügt eine zweite Verteidigungslinie hinzu. Während die Schelle die Armatur sich drehen lässt, lässt das Gelenk des C7284 das Blatt selbst nach vorn schwenken, sodass ein Schlag, der an der Hebelspitze ankommt, irgendwohin ausweichen kann. Keine der beiden Maßnahmen ist eine Garantie, und ein schwerer Sturz auf Felsen oder eine Landung auf dem Lenker kann den Hebel trotzdem beschädigen. Zusammen eingesetzt können sie einen 450er-Motocrosser aber nach der Art von Umfaller am Laufen halten, die ein Training sonst mit einem abgebrochenen Kupplungshebel und einem langen Fußweg zurück zum Transporter beenden würde.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Liste nennt den C7284 für die Husqvarna FC 450 von 2016 bis 2021. Er ersetzt den Standardhebel an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme. Die FC 450 von 2014 und 2015 sowie das Motorrad von 2022 sind mit dem C7283 gelistet, dem Kupplungshebel, den es auch in Rot gibt. Auf der Bremsseite ist der B8283 für alle Jahre von 2014 bis 2022 gelistet und wird, wie dieser Hebel, in Schwarz, Blau oder Orange angeboten.
Straßenzulassung
Für den C7284 ist keine deutsche ABE verzeichnet. Er gehört auf Motocross-Strecken und abgesperrtes Gelände.
