Armpump ist der Fluch des Motocross. Mitten in einem langen Lauf verhärten sich die Muskeln in den Unterarmen, der Griff wird schwächer, und der Fahrer beginnt sich festzuklammern, statt zu fahren. Auf einer GasGas MC 450F mit ihrem kräftigen Zug aus jeder Kurve hat die linke Hand reichlich zu tun: Die Kupplung kommt beim Start zum Einsatz, in engen Kurven und immer dann, wenn das Hinterrad gezähmt werden muss. Für die MC 450F von 2021 und 2022 bietet Accossato den C7283 an, einen in Italien aus Ergal 7075 gefrästen Klapp-Kupplungshebel mit einem langen Hebelblatt für vier Finger.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Ein langes Hebelblatt gibt einer müden Hand mehr Möglichkeiten. Accossato zeichnet den C7283 für vier Finger, sodass sich der Zug auf die ganze Hand verteilen lässt, wenn vollständig ausgekuppelt werden muss, statt auf einem oder zwei Fingern zu lasten. Der Hebel wird in Italien aus massivem Ergal 7075 CNC-gefräst, einer hochfesten Aluminiumlegierung, und seine erklärten Ziele sind Festigkeit, geringes Gewicht und Zuverlässigkeit. Er hat eine dunkle Basis, die am Kupplungsdrehpunkt bleibt, und ein Hebelblatt in der gewählten Farbe, befestigt mit einem Gelenk, das es wegklappen lässt.
Armpump in den letzten Runden
Armpump hat viele Ursachen: Anspannung, Fitness, ein Klammergriff am Lenker. Eines der einfachsten Mittel, zu denen Fahrer greifen, ist, die Hände überall dort zu lockern, wo die Strecke es zulässt, sich mit den Knien festzuhalten und die Arme locker arbeiten zu lassen. Die Kupplung ist ein Teil davon. Ein Fahrer, der sie in jeder Kurve mit angespannter Hand schleifen lässt, ermüdet schneller als einer, der sie nur bei Bedarf und mit leichter Hand benutzt. Auch hilft es, die Kupplungsarmatur in einem Winkel am Lenker einzustellen, bei dem das Handgelenk im Stehen gerade bleibt.
Ermüdung bringt auch Stürze. In den letzten Runden machen müde Fahrer Fehler, die ihnen in den ersten nicht passieren würden: eine verpasste Linie, eine späte Reaktion, ein Vorderrad, das einklappt. Geht die MC 450F auf ihrer linken Seite zu Boden, kann der Kupplungshebel hart aufschlagen, und das Hebelblatt des C7283 kann dann auf seinem Gelenk nach vorn klappen, statt an der Spitze abzubrechen, was dem Fahrer die Chance gibt, das Rennen zu beenden, statt das Motorrad in die Box zu schieben. Es rettet den Hebel nicht jedes Mal, aber es hilft genau in dem Moment, in dem die Müdigkeit schon alles schwerer gemacht hat.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Für die MC 450F von GasGas, Modelljahre 2021 und 2022, nennt Accossato den C7283 als Ersatz für den Serienhebel an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme. Der passende Klapp-Bremshebel ist der B8283 für dieselben Jahre, in Schwarz, Blau oder Orange; Rot ist nur bei diesem Kupplungshebel erhältlich.
Straßenzulassung
Für den C7283 ist keine deutsche ABE erhältlich. Er ist für Motocross und andere Wettbewerbe auf abgesperrten Strecken bestimmt, das Umfeld, für das die MC 450F gebaut ist.
