Accossatos B8283 für die 500 XC-W von 2014 bis 2016 legt für diese Stopps ein kurzes Hebelblatt unter drei Finger, und sein Gelenk lässt das Hebelblatt wegklappen, wenn das Motorrad umkippt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Was den B8283 von einem herkömmlichen Hebel unterscheidet, ist das Gelenk zwischen seiner dunklen Basis und seinem Hebelblatt. Die Basis bleibt am Drehpunkt des Bremszylinders; das Hebelblatt in Schwarz, Blau oder Orange kann nach vorn wegklappen, wenn etwas darauf trifft. Accossato fräst beide Teile in Italien aus massivem Ergal 7075 und setzt für Festigkeit, geringes Gewicht und Zuverlässigkeit auf diese hochfeste Aluminiumlegierung. Das Hebelblatt ist kurz und für drei Finger ausgelegt.
Den Trail teilen
Gute Umgangsformen auf dem Trail beginnen beim Tempo. Fahrer, die ihre Trails mit anderen teilen, nehmen uneinsehbare Kurven langsam, halten an, wenn sie Pferden begegnen, stellen den Motor ab, wenn ein Pferd nervös wirkt, und lassen Wanderer vorbei. Auf einem großen Viertakter wie der 500 XC-W bedeutet das häufige, kontrollierte Stopps, und ein schweres Motorrad auf einem schmalen, abschüssigen Trail zum Stehen zu bringen, ist ein Moment, in dem es leicht umkippen kann. Fällt der Boden unter dem Vorderrad nach rechts ab, geht das Motorrad auf dieser Seite zu Boden.
Der folgende Sturz ist langsam, doch die 500er ist schwer, und der Bremshebel trägt einen großen Teil der Last. Ein starrer Hebel kann sich verbiegen oder brechen. Beim B8283 kann das Hebelblatt nach vorn unter dem Motorrad hervorschwenken, sodass es gute Aussichten hat, heil zu bleiben, und Sie ruhig weiterfahren können, sobald der Trail frei ist, statt mit beschädigter Bremse nach Hause zu humpeln.
