Moderne Cross-Country- und Enduro-Strecken verlassen sich selten allein auf die Natur. Veranstalter bauen Baumstammhaufen, Reifenstapel und Steingärten ein, oft dort, wo sich Zuschauer versammeln, und diese kurzen Abschnitte bestrafen Fehler bei geringem Tempo. Die KTM 300 XC, KTMs 300er-Zweitakter für Cross-Country-Rennen, hat das Drehmoment, um sich hindurchzukriechen, doch es ist die Vorderradbremse, die das Motorrad für jedes Hindernis in Position bringt. Accossatos B8283, gelistet für die 300 XC von 2014 bis 2022, gibt dieser Bremse ein kurzes Dreifinger-Hebelblatt und lässt es nach vorn wegklappen, wenn ein Hindernis die Oberhand gewinnt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Drei Finger am Hebel und der Rest der Hand am Griff: Das ist die Auslegung, die Accossato für den B8283 gewählt hat, und das Hebelblatt ist bewusst kurz. Dahinter sitzt eine dunkle Basis, die am Drehpunkt des Bremszylinders bleibt, und zwischen beiden liegt das Gelenk, das das Hebelblatt nach vorn wegklappen lässt. Beide Teile werden auf CNC-Maschinen in Italien aus massivem Ergal der Sorte 7075 gefräst, der Aluminiumlegierung, auf die Accossato für Festigkeit, geringes Gewicht und Zuverlässigkeit setzt.
Baumstämme, Reifen und Steingärten
Künstliche Hindernisse werden in kurzen, präzisen Schüben gefahren. Fahren Sie einen Baumstammhaufen zu schnell an, prallt das Vorderrad ab; zu langsam, und die 300 XC würgt davor ab. Die Vorderradbremse bestimmt das Anfahrtstempo, oft bei fast stehendem Motorrad, und dann treibt der Fahrer mit Kupplung und Gas nach vorn. In einer Reifensektion wiederholt sich das Muster alle paar Meter: bremsen, Gewicht nach hinten, antreiben, wieder bremsen. Das ist Feinarbeit, und der Hebel muss genau dort sitzen, wo drei Finger ihn erwarten.
Hindernisse bei geringem Tempo sind auch für einen großen Teil der Umfaller in einem Rennen verantwortlich. Ein Rad fällt zwischen zwei Reifen, das Motorrad bleibt schlagartig stehen und kippt um, oft auf etwas Hartes und Unebenes. Auf der rechten Seite kann der Bremshebel auf der Kante eines Stamms landen oder sich zwischen zwei Felsen verkeilen. Der B8283 hat ein Gelenk, das das Hebelblatt nach vorn wegkippen lässt, was ihm eine Chance gibt, einen solchen Schlag zu überstehen. Passform und Kompatibilität
Für die KTM 300 XC ist der B8283 von 2014 bis 2022 gelistet und passt an den serienmäßigen Vorderradbremszylinder. Für Modelle der 300 XC vor 2014 gibt es in diesem Programm keinen Bremshebel. Der Klapp-Kupplungshebel C7283 deckt das Motorrad von 2006 bis 2022 ab und kommt in denselben Farben Schwarz, Blau und Orange, dazu Rot.
Straßenzulassung
Für den B8283 ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert. Er ist für Geländestrecken und Rennen bestimmt, wohin die 300 XC gehört.
