Die Husqvarna FX 450 wurde für diese Art von Rennen gebaut, und ein Moment kehrt immer wieder: das harte Bremsen am Ende eines schnellen Feldes, wo sich die Strecke in den Wald hinein verengt. Accossato listet seinen Klapp-Bremshebel B8283 für die FX 450 von 2017. Er wird in Italien aus Ergal 7075 CNC-gefräst, mit einem kurzen Hebelblatt für drei Finger und einem Gelenk, das es wegklappen lässt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Geringes Gewicht ist neben Festigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit eines der drei Ziele, die Accossato für seine Offroad-Hebel nennt, und an einem Motorrad, das stundenlang im Rennen bewegt wird, muss sich jedes Teil seinen Platz verdienen. Der B8283 wird in Italien aus massivem Ergal 7075 CNC-gefräst, einer hochfesten Aluminiumlegierung. Er hat eine dunkle Basis am Drehpunkt des originalen Vorderradbremszylinders der FX 450 und ein Hebelblatt in Schwarz, Blau oder Orange, das über das Klappgelenk mit der Basis verbunden ist. Das Blatt hat Accossatos kurze Bremshebelform, ausgelegt für drei Finger.
Einfahrt in den Wald
Auf den Feldabschnitten einer Cross-Country-Strecke kann eine 450er voll ausgefahren werden, oft im höchsten Gang, während der Fahrer sitzt, um die Beine zu schonen. Dann rücken die Streckenmarkierungen zusammen, zwischen den Bäumen öffnet sich eine einzige Lücke, und das Tempo muss schnell herunter. Der Boden ist an dieser Stelle meist der schlechteste der ganzen Runde: Bremswellen von jedem Fahrer vor Ihnen, lose Erde, die beim harten Beschleunigen aufgewirbelt wurde, manchmal eine versteckte Spurrille. Die Vorderradbremse leistet den Großteil der Arbeit, und sie hart einzusetzen, ohne das Rad zu blockieren, ist eine Kunst für sich.
Rennen wie diese dauern zwei oder drei Stunden, und mit jeder Runde lässt die Konzentration nach. Ein falsch eingeschätzter Bremspunkt am Waldrand legt das Motorrad mit Tempo hin, und ein Baum oder Stumpf am Streckenrand kann den Bremshebel treffen. Das Gelenk am B8283 gibt dem Hebelblatt die Chance, nach vorn wegzuklappen, statt zu brechen, sodass der Fahrer bessere Chancen hat, die FX 450 mit noch vorhandenem Bremshebel zurück ins Rennen zu bringen. Ein schwerer Sturz kann natürlich jeden Hebel besiegen, doch in einem langen Rennen, in dem jede Minute zählt, ist schon eine bessere Chance wertvoll.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato listet den B8283 für die Husqvarna FX 450 des Modelljahrs 2017, wo er anstelle des Serienhebels an den originalen Vorderradbremszylinder passt. Andere Jahrgänge der FX 450 sind in diesem Eintrag nicht enthalten. Der passende Kupplungshebel ist der C7284, ebenfalls für 2017 gelistet, und beide lassen sich in Schwarz, Blau oder Orange bestellen.
Straßenzulassung
Für den B8283 ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert. Er ist für Offroad-Wettbewerbe wie Cross-Country-Rennen bestimmt, also für den Zweck, für den die FX 450 gebaut wurde.
