Die MT-09 war schon immer ein Motorrad, das Besitzer gern zu ihrem eigenen machen. Auspuffanlagen, Heckumbauten, Spiegel und Lackierung werden oft schon wenige Monate nach dem Kauf geändert, und die Hebel folgen meist, weil man sie bei jeder Fahrt ansieht und berührt. Der Accossato ESV04A passt auf der linken Lenkerseite zu einem solchen Projekt: ein CNC-gefräster Aluminium-Kupplungshebel für die MT-09 von 2014 bis 2020, mit einstellbarer Griffweite und einem Blatt, eloxiert in einer von sieben Farben.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Jeder ESV04A wird aus Aluminium gefräst und dann zweifarbig eloxiert. Die Nabe bleibt bei jedem Hebel schwarz und sitzt damit unauffällig neben der Schaltereinheit, während das Blatt die Farbe trägt. Eloxieren ist kein Lackieren: Es verwandelt die Oberfläche des Aluminiums in eine harte, farbige Schicht, sodass sie sich nur langsam abnutzt und nicht abplatzt, wie es Lack tut. Mechanisch ist der Hebel einfach. Der Griffweiten-Einsteller sitzt nahe am Drehpunkt, und das Blatt verläuft als ein einziges starres Stück bis zu seinem Ende, ohne Klappgelenk, das am Schleifpunkt Spiel erzeugen könnte.
Teil eines persönlichen Umbaus
Der Umbau einer MT-09 folgt meist einem Plan, auch wenn er mit einem einzigen Teil beginnt, und ein Hebel ist ein guter Ort, um den Ton anzugeben, weil er vom Sattel aus direkt im Blickfeld liegt. Ist der Rest des Motorrads dunkel, hält ein schwarzes oder silbernes Blatt das Cockpit ruhig. Haben Sie anderswo farbige Akzente gesetzt, kann das Blatt einen davon aufgreifen, und die Bremsseite lässt sich passend dazu bestellen. Anders als die meisten optischen Änderungen verändert diese auch, wie sich das Motorrad anfühlt. Der Einsteller passt die Kupplung an Ihre Hand an statt an eine durchschnittliche, und die drei Längen verändern den Kraftaufwand: Ein langes Blatt bietet mehr Hebelwirkung und einen leichteren Zug, während ein kurzes die äußeren Finger am Lenker lässt, dafür aber strammer geht. Nicht jede Farbe gibt es in jeder Länge. Schwarz und Rot werden nur als Standardhebel gefertigt, Silber als Standard oder kurz und Blau, Gold, Grün und Orange in allen drei Längen; entscheiden Sie sich also zuerst für die Länge, wenn Sie eine bestimmte Kombination für Ihre MT-09 im Sinn haben.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Referenz für die Kupplung der MT-09 ist der ESV04A, gelistet von 2014 bis 2020. Dieser Zeitraum umfasst die ursprüngliche MT-09 und das überarbeitete Modell, das ab 2017 verkauft wurde. Der Hebel ersetzt das Serienteil an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme. Für die Bremsseite derselben Jahre ist der EDF016 mit derselben Nabe und Farbauswahl gelistet, sodass ein passendes Paar möglich ist, falls Ihr Umbau danach verlangt.
Straßenzulassung
Der ESV04A kommt ohne dokumentierte deutsche ABE und wird für den Rennstreckeneinsatz angeboten.
