Jeder Turn auf einer Speed Triple 1050 R beginnt und endet im Schritttempo. Sie rollen aus dem Fahrerlager, warten am Ende der Boxengasse, fahren dann mit Reifen auf die Strecke, die noch nicht auf Temperatur sind, und rollen danach zwischen Mechanikern und Zuschauern wieder herein. All das ist Kupplungsarbeit. Der EST333P ist Accossatos gefräster Aluminium-Kupplungshebel für die R von 2016 und 2017, montiert an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme, mit einer Griffweite, die Sie auf Ihre Rennhandschuhe einstellen können.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fertigt den EST333P auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium und eloxiert ihn dann: schwarz für die Nabe, in der Drehpunkt und Einsteller sitzen, und in einer von sieben Farben für das Blatt. Zwischen Drehpunkt und Spitze gibt es kein Gelenk. Bei einem Kupplungshebel bedeutet das einen Greifpunkt, der an derselben Stelle bleibt, und einen Hebel, der über eine Saison kein Eigenleben entwickelt. Die Eloxaloberfläche verträgt auch die Stöße des Trackday-Alltags gut, von Montageständern über den Transport bis zu den Handschuhen.
Raus aus der Boxengasse
Das Auffahren auf die Strecke ist einer der wenigen Momente an einem Trackday, in denen die Kupplung wirklich zählt. Die Reifen sind kalt und bieten wenig Grip, der Motor ist vielleicht noch nicht ganz warm, und die Fahrer, die schon auf der Strecke sind, fahren weit schneller als Sie. Was Sie wollen, ist ein sanfter, ruhiger Start: die Kupplung gleichmäßig kommen lassen, behutsam Gas geben und den Hinterreifen den Antrieb aufnehmen lassen, ohne dass er durchdreht oder ruckt, dann auf der Linie der Boxenausfahrt bleiben, bis sie endet. Ein Hebel in bequemer Reichweite Ihrer behandschuhten Finger erleichtert das, weil die Hand nicht gerade dann weit geöffnet ist, wenn Feingefühl gefragt ist. Rennhandschuhe sind meist steifer und stärker gepanzert als Straßenhandschuhe, stellen Sie den EST333P deshalb mit dem Paar ein, das Sie auf der Strecke tragen. Das Ende jedes Turns ist dasselbe in umgekehrter Reihenfolge: im Schritttempo durch die Boxengasse und das Fahrerlager rollen, wo ein ruckartiges Einkuppeln das Letzte ist, was jemand um Sie herum braucht. An der Speed Triple 1050 R, deren Dreizylinder aus niedrigen Drehzahlen kräftig zieht, beginnt diese Sanftheit an der Kupplung.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EST333P für die Speed Triple 1050 R ab 2016; da die RS die R zum Modelljahr 2018 ablöste, deckt dieses Produkt 2016 und 2017 ab. Für die R von 2012 bis 2015 ist der passende Kupplungshebel der EST333. Accossatos Bremshebel für die Maschinen von 2016 und 2017 ist der EDF099, der in denselben Farben angeboten wird, falls Sie ein passendes Paar möchten; die frühere R bekommt den EDF011.
Straßenzulassung
Der Straßenverkehr in Deutschland ist nicht abgedeckt, da für den EST333P keine ABE-Dokumentation vorliegt. Er wird für die Rennstrecke verkauft.
