Ein Café Racer lädt zu einer bestimmten Art des Fahrens ein: eine ruhige Straße, eine Kurvenfolge und der blubbernde V2, während Sie für die nächste Kurve herunterschalten. Die SV650X, Suzukis Café-Racer-Version der SV650, macht so gefahren am meisten Freude, und gute Rückschaltvorgänge hängen ebenso von der linken Hand ab wie vom linken Fuß. Der Accossato ESS248 ist ein gefräster Aluminium-Kupplungshebel für die SV650X von 2018 bis 2022, mit einstellbarer Griffweite und einem Blatt in einer von sieben Farben.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der ESS248 wird auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium gefräst und zweifarbig eloxiert, mit schwarzer Nabe und einem Blatt in der Farbe Ihrer Wahl. An einem optisch so aufgeräumten Motorrad wie der SV650X funktioniert diese Aufteilung gut: Die Nabe, in der Drehpunkt und Griffweiteneinsteller sitzen, fügt sich ruhig neben die Schaltereinheit, während das Blatt so viel oder so wenig Farbe beisteuert, wie Sie möchten. Durch das Eloxieren wird die Farbe Teil der Aluminiumoberfläche und keine Beschichtung darauf. Der Hebel ist starr gebaut, ohne Klappgelenk zwischen Nabe und Spitze.
Einen V2 sanft herunterschalten
Ein V2 bremst spürbar mit, wenn sich das Gas schließt, und unachtsames Herunterschalten kann den Hinterreifen springen oder stempeln lassen, weil der Motor gezwungen wird, schneller zu drehen. Das Mittel dagegen ist Technik und nicht Hardware: Kupplung ziehen, den niedrigeren Gang einlegen, kurz Zwischengas geben und den Hebel sanft kommen lassen, statt ihn zurückschnappen zu lassen. Der letzte Schritt hängt am stärksten von der Position des Hebels ab. Sitzt das Blatt weit außen, lassen die Finger meist auf einmal los; näher gestellt, lässt es sich in einer kontrollierten Bewegung freigeben. Auf einer kurvigen Straße sind das Dutzende Einkuppelvorgänge pro Stunde, deshalb wählen manche Fahrer das lange Blatt wegen seiner zusätzlichen Hebelwirkung. Wer mit zwei Fingern kuppelt, empfindet das kurze Blatt als die natürlichere Form. So oder so hält ein sanftes Einkuppeln die SV650X auf dem Weg in die Kurve ruhig.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der ESS248 wird für die SV650X von 2018 bis 2022 angeboten und passt anstelle des Serienhebels an die originale Kupplungsaufnahme. Accossatos eigener Eintrag für die X beginnt früher, doch der Café Racer kam erst zum Modelljahr 2018, deshalb beginnt dieses Produkt dort. Auf der anderen Lenkerseite deckt der Bremshebel EDF014 dieselben Modelljahre ab; zusammen bestellt, können beide Hebel eine Farbe teilen und sich trotzdem in der Länge unterscheiden, wenn Sie möchten.
Straßenzulassung
Für den ESS248 ist keine ABE für deutsche Straßen dokumentiert, wir verkaufen ihn deshalb für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke.
