Die SFV650 Gladius wurde für Fahrer gebaut, die ein zugängliches Mittelklassemotorrad statt einer Rennreplika wollen, und das macht sie zu einer vernünftigen Wahl für Wiedereinsteiger nach Jahren ohne Motorrad. Gleichgewicht und Verkehrsgespür kehren nach einer langen Pause schnell zurück; feine Kupplungskontrolle dauert meist länger. Der Accossato ESS248 ersetzt den Kupplungshebel der Gladius von 2009 bis 2015 durch einen CNC-gefrästen Aluminiumhebel, dessen Abstand zum Griff sich einstellen lässt, sodass das Wiedererlernen aus einer bequemen Handposition beginnt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Wer eine Fertigkeit neu aufbaut, profitiert davon, wenn sich die Ausrüstung jedes Mal gleich verhält. Der ESS248 ist ein starrer Hebel: Nabe und Blatt sind ein Stück CNC-gefrästes Aluminium, ohne Gelenk, das Spiel bringen könnte. Accossato eloxiert ihn nach dem Fräsen und verwandelt dabei die äußere Schicht des Metalls in ein hartes, farbiges Oxid, statt Lack aufzutragen. Die Nabe um Drehpunkt und Griffweiteneinsteller ist schwarz; das Blatt kommt in der bestellten Farbe, vom zurückhaltenden Schwarz oder Silber bis zum kräftigen Orange oder Grün.
Nach einer Pause zurück im Sattel
Fertigkeiten verblassen während einer Fahrpause ungleichmäßig. Gleichgewicht und Gespür für den Verkehr kehren nach ein, zwei Fahrten zurück, doch die feine Kontrolle der Kupplung steckt in einem Muskelgedächtnis, das eine Weile ungenutzt war, und die ersten Ausfahrten sind oft von abgewürgten Motoren, ruckeligem Anfahren und ungelenken Wendemanövern geprägt. Jedes davon kratzt stärker am Selbstvertrauen, als es verdient. Ein Hebel in bequemer Reichweite verkürzt das Wiedererlernen. Stellen Sie den ESS248 so ein, dass die Finger bei entspannter Hand mit dem ersten Gelenk auf dem Blatt ruhen, und verbringen Sie dann eine halbe Stunde auf einem leeren Parkplatz damit, den Hebel langsam kommen zu lassen, wieder und wieder, bis der Schleifpunkt wieder vertraut ist. Langsame Achten und enge Kehren im Schritttempo ergeben sich daraus ganz natürlich. Das lange Blatt erleichtert den Zug für eine Hand, die aus der Übung ist; sobald das alte Selbstvertrauen zurück ist, empfinden viele Fahrer die Standardlänge an ihrer Gladius als ebenso bequem.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den ESS248 für die SFV 650 Gladius von 2009 bis 2015, er ersetzt den Serienhebel an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme. Die Bremsseite der Gladius deckt der EDF014 ab, aufgeführt für dieselben Jahre. Straßenzulassung
