Die Rivale 800 hat die hohe Sitzbank und den breiten Lenker einer großen Supermoto. Auf einer kurvigen Straße ist diese Kombination ein Geschenk, auf einer schmalen wird sie jedes Mal zur kleinen Prüfung, wenn der Weg in einer Sackgasse endet oder Sie eine Abzweigung verpasst haben und umkehren müssen. Eine Wende im Schritttempo ist fast reine Kupplungsarbeit. Der ESM048 von Accossato ist ein aus Aluminium gefräster Kupplungshebel mit einstellbarem Abstand zum Griff, der an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme der Rivale 800 von 2014 bis 2017 sitzt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Am Anfang des ESM048 steht massives Aluminium, das eine CNC-Maschine auf das Profil des Hebels fräst, bevor das Teil zum Eloxieren geht. Es folgen zwei Oberflächen: Schwarz für die Nabe und die bestellte Farbe für das Blatt. Die Nabe ist das Herzstück des Hebels, sie nimmt die Lagerbohrung auf und den Einsteller, der bestimmt, wo das Blatt in Ruhestellung steht. Das Blatt ist der Teil, den Ihre Finger spüren. Da die Konstruktion starr ist, klappt an ihm nichts, und der Zug geht direkt in die Kupplungsmechanik, statt durch ein Gelenk zu laufen.
Wenden auf schmaler Straße
Eine enge Wende wird gefahren, nicht mit den Füßen gepaddelt, und möglich macht das die Kupplung. Legen Sie den ersten Gang ein, halten Sie den Motor auf einer gleichmäßigen, leicht erhöhten Leerlaufdrehzahl und lassen Sie die Kupplung bis zum Schleifpunkt kommen, sodass das Motorrad unter konstantem Antrieb im Schritttempo rollt. Ein leichter Druck auf die Hinterradbremse stabilisiert es zusätzlich. Drehen Sie den Kopf ganz dorthin, wo Sie ankommen wollen, nicht zum Bordstein, und lassen Sie das Motorrad in die Kurve kippen. Wird es zu langsam, geben Sie etwas mehr Kupplung frei, statt Gas zu geben. Trägt es nach außen, ziehen Sie den Hebel ein wenig. Lassen Sie die Finger von der Vorderradbremse, solange der Lenker voll eingeschlagen ist, denn genau so kippen Motorräder bei niedrigem Tempo um. An der Rivale 800, deren hohe Sitzbank vielen Fahrern das Abstützen mit dem Fuß schwer macht, halten zwei Finger den Schleifpunkt so lange, wie die Wende dauert, wenn der Hebel gut erreichbar eingestellt ist. Das lange Blatt erleichtert den Zug, falls das Manöver einen zweiten Anlauf braucht.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Die Liste von Accossato führt den ESM048 für die Rivale 800 von 2014 bis 2017, als direkten Ersatz für den Serienhebel an der originalen Aufnahme. Die Bremsseite derselben Motorräder deckt der EDF015 ab, der dieselbe schwarze Nabe und dieselbe Farbpalette hat, sodass sich ein Paar in einer Farbe leicht zusammenstellen lässt.
Straßenzulassung
Für den ESM048 ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert, wir verkaufen ihn für den Rennstreckeneinsatz.
