An einem felsigen Anstieg wird eine große Reiseenduro mit der Kupplung gefahren. Die KTM 1090 Adventure R, die Geländeversion der 1090 mit langen Federwegen und Speichenrädern, kommt einen Pfad erstaunlich weit hinauf, vorausgesetzt, der Hinterreifen bekommt genau so viel Antrieb, wie der Boden aufnehmen kann. Diese Menge bestimmt die linke Hand. Der Accossato ESA090 ist ein CNC-gefräster Aluminium-Kupplungshebel für die 1090 Adventure R von 2017 bis 2019, in der Griffweite einstellbar und in drei Längen angeboten.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Jede Kontur des ESA090 wird auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium gefräst, ganz ohne Guss. Nach dem Fräsen wird der Hebel eloxiert: die Nabe mit Lagerbohrung und Griffweiteneinsteller schwarz, das Blatt in der Farbe Ihrer Wahl. Die beim Eloxieren gebildete Oxidschicht ist härter als das blanke Metall und hält die Farbe in sich, Staub und Sand können also am Hebel schmirgeln, ohne eine Lackschicht abzutragen. Das Blatt ist starr und ohne jedes Gelenk mit der Nabe verbunden.
Langsam, steil und lose
Traktion auf losem Untergrund ist ein schmales Fenster. Zu viel Antrieb, und der Reifen gräbt ein Loch oder bricht seitlich aus; zu wenig, und der Motor kommt aus dem Tritt und das Motorrad bleibt am Hang stehen, genau der Moment, den auf halber Höhe eines steilen Anstiegs niemand will. Erfahrene Fahrer lassen in einem technischen Abschnitt durchgehend ein oder zwei Finger an der Kupplung, lassen sie schleifen, um den Antrieb in kleinen Portionen zu dosieren, und ziehen sie in dem Moment, in dem das Hinterrad durchzudrehen beginnt. Dafür muss der Hebel die ganze Zeit unter den Fingern bleiben, auch wenn Sie stehen und das Motorrad über Felsen bockt. Wenn Sie den ESA090 näher an den Griff stellen und das kurze Blatt wählen, bleiben die übrigen Finger am Lenker; die Standardlänge passt zu Fahrern, die lieber mehr von der Hand einsetzen. An der 1090 Adventure R, deren Fahrwerk zu schwierigeren Pfaden einlädt, ist diese Art Kontrolle mehr wert, als es zunächst scheint.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Von Accossato für die 1090 Adventure R von 2017 bis 2019 aufgeführt, ersetzt der ESA090 den Serienhebel an der originalen Kupplungsaufnahme. Der EDB012 ist der Accossato-Bremshebel für dasselbe Motorrad und dieselben Jahre; Blau, Gold, Grün und Orange sind die Farben der Wahl, wenn Sie beide Hebel in einer Farbe und freie Wahl unter den drei Längen möchten.
Straßenzulassung
Für den ESA090 gibt es keine dokumentierte deutsche ABE, deshalb verkaufen wir ihn für den Einsatz auf abgesperrten Strecken.
