Eine zügige Fahrt mit der Z1000 über eine kurvige Straße bringt viel Zurückschalten mit sich. Ihr Reihenvierzylinder dreht frei hoch, und wenn sich das Gas auf dem Weg in eine Kurve schließt, kann ein hastiges Zurückschalten zusammen mit abruptem Einkuppeln den Hinterreifen quietschen oder springen lassen, genau wenn sich das Motorrad in Schräglage legt. Accossatos ESK828, ein gefräster Aluminium-Kupplungshebel für die Z1000, gelistet von 2003 bis 2020 und erneut für 2022 bis 2024, hat eine einstellbare Griffweite, die Ihnen hilft, die Kupplung so sanft kommen zu lassen, wie es die Situation verlangt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Wie die anderen Accossato-Hebel dieser Reihe wird der ESK828 auf CNC-Anlagen aus Aluminium gefräst und dann eloxiert. Seine Nabe, der Bereich mit Lagerbohrung und Griffweiteneinsteller, ist bei jeder Ausführung schwarz; das Blatt trägt die Farbe. Weil das Eloxieren die äußere Schicht des Aluminiums in ein hartes Oxid umwandelt, statt eine Beschichtung hinzuzufügen, hält die Farbe selbst an einem Naked Bike, dessen Hebel Regen, Sonne und Straßenschmutz ausgesetzt sind. Von der Nabe bis zur Spitze ist das Blatt ein starres Stück, sodass der Schleifpunkt mit der Zeit nicht wandert.
Zurückschalten ohne Drama
Jedes Zurückschalten erhöht die Motordrehzahl, die zur Fahrgeschwindigkeit passt, und wird die Kupplung abrupt losgelassen, muss der Hinterreifen den Motor schlagartig auf diese Drehzahl bringen. Das Ergebnis ist ein Schlag durch den Antriebsstrang und im schlimmsten Fall ein Hinterrad, das beim Einlenken springt oder rutscht. Es gibt zwei Wege, das zu vermeiden: ein kurzer Gasstoß, der die Drehzahl anhebt, bevor die Kupplung greift, oder ein sanftes, progressives Einkuppeln, das den Motor allmählich nachkommen lässt. Beides hängt von präziser Kupplungskontrolle ab, und Präzision hängt davon ab, wo der Hebel sitzt. Ist die Griffweite des ESK828 so eingestellt, dass Ihre Finger in ihrem bequemen Bereich arbeiten, lässt sich die Kupplung über den Bruchteil einer Sekunde dosiert kommen lassen, statt sie schnappen zu lassen. Das Standardblatt passt den meisten Fahrern auf der Z1000; das kurze hält zwei Finger am Hebel für schnelles Schalten, und das lange verringert den Kraftaufwand für Fahrer, die lieber die ganze Hand nehmen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der ESK828 reicht weiter zurück als der Bremshebel: Seine Liste für die Z1000 läuft von 2003 bis 2020 und erneut für 2022 bis 2024, was die allererste Z1000 von 2003 ebenso einschließt wie die späteren Generationen. Er ersetzt den Originalhebel an Kawasakis Kupplungsaufnahme. Der Bremshebel EDF088 ist das Gegenstück für die rechte Hand, gelistet von 2007 bis 2020 und für 2022 bis 2024.
Straßenzulassung
Für den ESK828 liegt uns keine dokumentierte deutsche ABE vor, und wir verkaufen ihn für den Rennstreckeneinsatz.
