Die Kupplung der CBR500R wird über einen Seilzug betätigt, und das Gefühl am Hebel hängt ebenso von diesem Zug ab wie vom Hebel selbst. Ein Zug, der trocken, geknickt oder am Ausfransen ist, macht die Betätigung schwer und das Einkuppeln unbestimmt, und kein Hebel kann das verbergen. Accossatos ESH250 ist ein aus Aluminium gefräster Kupplungshebel für die CBR500R von 2013 bis 2021 mit einstellbarer Griffweite; sein Einbau ist auch ein guter Moment, sich anzusehen, womit der Hebel verbunden ist.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Aus massivem Aluminium gefräst und anschließend eloxiert, verbindet der ESH250 eine schwarze Nabe mit einem Blatt in Schwarz, Blau, Rot, Orange, Gold, Silber oder Grün. Drehpunkt und Griffweiteneinsteller sitzen beide in der Nabe, weshalb sie schwarz bleibt, welche Farbe Sie auch wählen. Das Blatt selbst ist starr und aus einem Stück gefertigt, ohne Gelenk, das Spiel zwischen Ihren Fingern und dem Zug erzeugen könnte. Accossato begann 1969 in Moncalieri bei Turin als Hersteller von Wettbewerbsmotorrädern.
Ein Zug, der Pflege verdient
Ein Kupplungszug verschleißt dort, wo er sich biegt, und dort, wo er in den Hebel eintritt. Über einen Winter arbeiten sich Wasser und Straßenschmutz in die Außenhülle, der Innenzug trocknet aus, und die Betätigung wird schwerer und weniger geschmeidig, oft so allmählich, dass der Fahrer es erst merkt, wenn ein neuer Hebel montiert ist und die Kupplung sich immer noch schwer anfühlt. Sehen Sie sich beim Wechsel auf den ESH250 den Nippel am Zugende auf gebrochene Litzen an, verfolgen Sie den Zug entlang seiner Verlegung, um sicherzugehen, dass er bei vollem Lenkeinschlag weder geknickt noch eingeklemmt wird, und schmieren Sie ihn, wenn Ihr Werkstatthandbuch das vorsieht. Stellen Sie dann die Griffweite des Hebels ein und prüfen Sie danach das Spiel nach Hondas Vorgabe. An einer CBR500R, die das ganze Jahr gefahren wird, verdient der Zug jede Saison einen Blick, denn ein klemmender Zug kann verhindern, dass die Kupplung vollständig einkuppelt. Ist der Zug in Ordnung, können die einstellbare Griffweite und die Wahl zwischen kurzem, Standard- und langem Blatt ihren Teil beitragen, und das lange Blatt bietet von den dreien den leichtesten Zug.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der ESH250 ist von Accossato für die CBR500R von 2013 bis 2021 gelistet und wird dort montiert, wo der originale Kupplungshebel saß. Für die Bremsseite dieser Motorräder gibt es den EDF025 in denselben Farben. Besitzer einer CBR500R von 2022 bis 2024 finden für ihr Motorrad den Bremshebel EDF018 gelistet, in Accossatos Liste aber keinen Kupplungshebel.
Straßenzulassung
Der ESH250 kommt ohne dokumentierte deutsche ABE; aus diesem Grund verkaufen wir ihn für den Rennstreckeneinsatz.
